I see the wonderful posts and threads all over the forum. There is a beautiful countdown sign in the upper right hand corner. NEST is almost here and it is with great regret that I will not be able to attend.

I was really looking forward to finally meeting a lot of you, but due to "life changes" and "financial storms", I will not be able to attend NEST this year.

Damn.

I hope the NEST goers all have a blast. That weekend I will be thinking of you all and wishing I was there. To the West Coast people who will go there, represent us well!

Awwww, well if it makes your feel any better, I'm not going to NEST either... :console: My plans fell through and I ended up making other plans :3poke: so I'm sure I'll be okay that weekend. But I must admit that I was looking forward to meeting everyone... So I guess that means I'll have to attend/host other tickle functions throughout the year 🙂
 
You will both be missed. Hopefully, we'll get to meet you another time. We'll be sending ticklish thoughts your way. 😉
 
Money seems to be an issue with a lot of people I know I have no work in construction.

Frankly, I`m surprised there hasn`t been more of these types of threads. A long weekend trip that includes flight, hotel, dining and entertainment will cost you $1000 easily. For those who have steady jobs or their mommy and daddy is paying for NEST, I say more power to you. But this recession has hit people hard, myself included. And paying for the entire weekend on a credit card in these times is simply moronic.:ermm: I`d love to be able to attend more gatherings, but I refuse to get my tit in a wringer financially over a weekend of tickling. Better times are ahead, Primetime my friend. Hopefully you will be able to attend NEST in 2010.:smilestar
 
I feel for ya, man. I'm in the same boat and had originally planned on attending, but can't now. I figure that gives me plenty of time to save up for next year, though. I say all the people who can't attend NEST should start a support group. Hmmm.... sounds like the perfect topic for the Silly Stuff forum.
 
Don't feel too bad Primetime and Carmel Cutie and also Adam and many others that sadly are unable to attend NEST this year. I sadly fall into that unfortunate category too, me and bear can't make it to NEST. We really wanted to and really hoped we could somehow make it happen, but sadly once again it was not meant to be. Yeah I know what you are saying Uncle Bill and everyone that is not able to go to NEST this year. It bites and it really does suck and it is very unfortunate, however bear and me are really hoping that next NEST 2010 that we can attend. If we can it will be our first NEST. We have wanted to go to more gatherings and have wanted for a while now to go to NEST but sadly it has not happened over the years-for a long time we were full time college students and sadly for longest time we were living at home before we got engaged moved in together and July 7th 2007 we got married.

So sadly we have not been able to attend more gatherings but we hope to change this someday soon in the future, hopefully. Best wishes to all of you that can make it to NESt and have a blast and a great time. Bear and me are really sorry we are going to miss it.:twohugs::twohugs::twohugs::twohugs::twohugs::console::console::console::twohugs::twohugs::console:

I think everyone who still has a job at this point should really be thankful. It will have to be next year for me as well.

That is really damn true. It really doesn't even matter if you're working the register at a 7-Eleven. Having a job is friggin' golden these days.

I won't be able to attend this year either...just isn't in the cards...but sometime down the road I hope to attend again...Such absolutely cool fun people!

DAMN!!! Sorry to hear that Primetime. I was looking forward to hanging out with ya. Hopefully soon I may make a west coast swing, if not perhaps next year. Take care of what you need to do. You will be missed!

Well damn, all I can say is: It is NEST's loss. Just mean some of you folks will have to come out this way too meet this fine man who has a lot of things going for him except some strange notion that Eil Manning is worth rooting for.
 
That's ridiculous. That's like saying people could like both scrambled eggs and Tom Clancy. Foolishness!

Joking aside, it's a shame you can't make it. Though I know what you mean, the economy has us all in a vise that's squeezing us all ever tighter. Hope to see you next year.
