do you normally fall asleep immediately after going to bed or are you a ''re-hasher''

Unless I've been sleepless for a few days and have taken something to help me knock off, it generally takes me a while to get to sleep. I'll rehash things on occassion...if it's something that upset me in some way. But, more often, I spend the time thinking through/planning what I'll be doing the next day(s). Lately, it's been a combination of trying to think through exactly how I want to procede on assembling my new front garden. I've also been known to compose story ideas and jot down notes to flesh out later.

What is sleep... I dont recall the last time I woke up refreshed from a good nights sleep. I have always even as a child has issues sleeping- I slept walked as a child. I still do when I am over stressed.. I toss and turn all night if it is not mental then it is physical.. Just last night hubby woke me up for the was thrashing and shaking in bed.. I was have another night mare.. he thought I was in spasms but thankfully that was not the case. I did end up going to the couch so he could get some sleep.

Big time re-hasher!!!

Besides, I haven't had a good night's sleep since my mom died almost 14 years ago. But hope springs eternal..........

I wish I could fall asleep immediately, but you know, hash, re-hash, and re-re-hash

I have to listen to music to get to sleep or else my mind will keep churning and churning. I hate sleeping because I feel like I am missing out on something so I need a distraction or else I'll simply convince myself to get back up again.

Ugh... I never re-hash events of the day; that shits over with, I'm done thinking about it when my head hits teh pillow, lol.

I almost NEVER fall asleep immediately. My brain constantly plays things over and over whether it be a song or an event that happened during the day. I usually have to lay down at least a good 2 hours before I want to actually fall asleep...it sucks.

I'm a sleeper.... head hits the pillow and i'm out. I often find that dreaming about my problems helps me resolve them so when i'm truly upset or bummed you can expect to see me sleeping way more than normal.

takes me forever i rehash like hell and cannot controll it i hate it i just want to sleep normal darn it

Night-shifter. It varies. Sometimes I'll do all the right stuff -- exercise a couple hours before hand, no caffeine, cool shower, and I'll still not be able to sleep.

Other times, I can drink a quart of coffee just before, and I'm still out like a light.

Ugh. Lifelong insomniac here. I want to kill those people who can fall right asleep. Braindead assholes. I watched an interview once with Billy Crystal and he was talking about his own insomnia. He said, "It's a terrible thing. Basically I've been up since 1965." I've never related more to anything in my life.
XOXO

What I mean by this is are you the type that will lay in bed and ''re-hash'' over the events of the day before drifting off to sleep. I definately have a habit of re-playing even the smallest stuff that happened that day if for some reason it gets stuck in my head . :facepalm2:

I don't think I re-hash my day, but I don't ever fall asleep right away either. I have to toss and turn for at least an hour. It sucks. 🙁

I fight with sleep most of the time. If I can rob and extend 2 hours more...

Depends really. If I'm particularly tired I'll be asleep in 10 minutes usually, but otherwise it'll take about 30 minutes or so. Or maybe all night on rare occasions which I hate.

I pretty much have to exhaust Myself during the day to be able to sleep right away after hitting the sack. Otherwise I just lay there and toss and turn while My mind goes through 8,000 things all at once. Funny the stuff that will come to you while you're trying to fall asleep that didn't even dawn on you for a second during the day, eh?

Yes, I rehash pretty much everything from the day, :iagree:except my mind works like there is a remote control controlling it, constantly flipping from one thing to the other, so I end up thinking of something completely different in about 5 minutes then whatever I started out thinking. I think I explained it correctly, I have trouble conveying what I am thinking into words. Basically my mind does not stay on one thought for more than a few seconds.

The same here, and I also want to kill people who can fall right to sleep also. I've had major trouble sleeping :shock:for as long as I can remember. And I especially hate the people who can drink a whole pot of coffee and then still go right to sleep, not fair at all. :sigh:

I'm an insomniac. It comes in phases, but even during the times when I sleep well, I don't often fall asleep quickly. Like tonight, for example. Depending on what's going on at work, I often wake up and write notes to myself...didn't do that for the half year I was backpacking, though. Nice. Miss that. On the other hand, it's great to have clean sheets again.
