If I had to pick absolutely one, it would probably be Nickelback. They've held that top spot for me for about 4 years now. I love em, and I don't care how much crap I get because of it. Hmph!

I'm too much of an old fart and not into a lot of my favorite rock bands anymore cause I listen to so much jazz now.

But my favorite is a fairly recent rock band called The New Pornographers. And my favorite singer is Neko Case. (Neko sings with the Pornographers, as well as her solo career)

As for fave band..thats a real hard one as im not the rocker I once was lol. Half of my fave artists these days no one here would know. But bout the only groups I can say im still heavy into for classic rock (since I aint into and dont care for new stuff) and can listen to no matter what mood im in would be

1. Pink Floyd
2. Queen
3. Rolling Stones (1970s era)
4. Golden Earring
5. AC/DC (1970s era)
6. ELO

1) The Who - The Kids Are Alright Soundtrack features the best versions of some of their best songs;
2) The Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks, their only real album;
3) Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind, only for sentimental reasons, introduced me to G.K. Chesterton;
4) Nirvana - Unplugged in New York, stripped down and from the heart;
5) Shania Twain - I only buy her CDs for the pictures.

Some of lesser known guys like Lou Donaldson, Kenny Dorham, Sun Ra, and any of the older big band and swing guys (Benny Goodman, Louis Prima, The Duke, Satchmo)

Oh I still listen to some of my favorites, Isa. Just not on a regular basis.
But I do still crank up Cream, Jethro Tull, Yes, Uriah Heep, Allman Brothers, and other folks from the late 60s/early 70s era. And Love.....fantastic band, glad to see Arthur Lee back to performing live again!
