Favourite music

UnderOath are a great band, not to keen on there new album, but They're only chasing safety and The Changing of Times are immense albums
 
You don't like the new album? Give it time, it'll grow on you. It goes back to their more heaier efforts, like Act of Depression.
 
The new albums seems like an attempt to please the older fans who slated They're only chasing for safety for being to soft, while trying to keep the new fans who prefer the more pop'ish tunes into them.

There are a couple of decent songs on it though, i do like In Regards to Self
 
Yea, that is true. I wish they would just go back to the heavy style completely.

I listen rock and metal..more metal!!..death metal..metal-core..death-core..thrash metal, bands like Slayer, Megadeth, Lamb of god, Fear my thoughts, Neaera, Killswitch engage, Hatebreed, Suffocation, Carcass, Cannibal corpse..and thousand others..now i'm listening Crisis..hihi..bye!! 🙂
 
I listen to too many different types of music, and rather than arranging it by a specific type, I just go by what simply sounds good to me. That said, I do tend to favor most types of rock the most overall.

i am exactly the same way. i love atleast 3 songs in every genre.

Lately alot of NIN, especially Pretty Hate Machine (just not their videos :shock:).

Love Metallica, Santana, Rodrigo and Gabriela, Led Zeppelin, A Perfect Circle, Steve Vai, BLack Label Society, System of a Down, Tool, Paz Lenchanthin
 
Umm, generally it's either any kind of metal (emo, hardcore, thrash, punk, funk, screamo, death, black, etc.) or worship. And NO those can NOT be contradictions.
Right now, I'd throw out;
Demon Hunter, As I Lay Dying, Extol, Living Sacrifice, Bloodlined Calligraphy, Underoath, Norma Jean, Skillet, Starfield, Fusebox, Hillsong United, (Secular now) Mudvayne, Finch, Three Days Grace, System of A Down.
And... I can't really think of any others off the top of my head.
I really like any type of music, or can tolerate it at least. 😛 Except for rap. :cross: My motto's 'can't spell crap without rap'. 😉
 
I can't pick a favorite. I love it all.

Classic Rock, Indie Rock, Motown, Oldies, R&B, Hip Hop, Ska, Punk, Folk-Punk, Reggae, Folk, Folk-Rock, New Wave, Country...yadda yadda yadda
 
i love hard hard rock..with male masculine bands such as Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Hurt, old Pantera..or unusual voices such as Tantric, Godsmack..i also love Black Sabbath, Rage Against the Machine , and i've recently discovered the only female voice i can tolerate...the band Otep...

for relaxation after a day of stress i do prefer classical...nothing soothes the soul better...
 
I like very much contemporary music as stockhausen, xenakis, john cage, berio etc etc

I also like industrial groups like throbbing gristle, cabaret voltaire, einstuerzende neubauten, death in june

or female voices, as diamanda galas, tori amos, pj harvey, regina spektor.... :inlove:
 
I like Hip Hop, R&B, J-rock, Japanese Hip Hop and Rock. I'll listen to pretty much anything though 🙂
 
Symphonic Black Metal & Melodic Black Metal and some melodic death metal bands :<

Bands like: Dimmu Borgir, Anorexia Nervosa, Belphegor, Cradle Of Filth, Dark Funeral... too many to name 🙂 But all of them are mainly variants of black metal, but not "old school" ones... I just don't like classics, never did, never will.

Want alot of effects and mixings in music for better sound quality... And synth is a definate bonus for me...
 
I thought I had posted here a while ago, but I don't see a reply. Perhaps a similar thread.

I listen to different genres of music, my fave is dance/club music. Out of that genre, my fave style is "freestyle".

If you don't know what "freestyle" is, it's a type of dance music that is kind of a fusion of latin sounding music....salsa, merengue, and pop. Percussion was used to provide the beat for the songs, instead of the heavy bass drum like in "house music". It was very popular from 1985 to 1994 in the dance clubs and some pop radio stations.

Here is a commerical of a 2 CD set that was released not long ago, and gives a good cross section of the artists that performed the music.
