So many people here have been supportive about my mothers 4 year battle with constant chronic pain, that I have to share the good news now that there is some. Yesterday she had a temporary implant that blocks pain signals put in to see if she would benefit from a permanent one, and it is working perfectly. She is completely pain free right now.
This is still not the end of the road because it's only a five day trial, so it has to come out Friday and then it could be who knows how long before the permanent one is done. But at least there's a visible light at the end of the tunnel finally. However long it takes, it's now an almost certainty that she will be out of pain, and it had really started to look like that was just never going to happen.
Thanks for all the words and prayers of support everyone. They meant a lot to her, and to me too.
