Harry Potter almost nude?

British parents fear a bad influence for their children: Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) posed half nude for some photos with a female colleage, in advertisement for a theater play. Radcliffe appeared to be in a rather athletic shape and "almost a mature man", as British news sources mentioned.

My question to you: Would you fear bad influence for your kids from a picture of a young man who just wears his underpants? Or is it just another piece of the usual Harry Potter hype?

Personally, I wouldn't object to a half nude tickle fight of Harry Potter with Hermione Granger in the next Harry Potter movie...

Teenage movie stars should be allowed to go swimming in shorts, don't you think? Partial nudity, in and of itself, is hardly pornographic. I can't believe there are people making a big deal out of this.

It's not like he is 13 years old he is an adult and the movies are becoming even more adult like just like the books. If the child is to young to understand they proably shouldn't go see the movie because they are to young. I mean it's like britney spears she prances around half naked but many parents don't mind it. Sure a small few do but it's just pop culture.

Daniel Radcliffe's been working out, getting ready for his nude scenes in the play "Equus" in London. He's posed without his shirt and glasses for a series of sexy shots to plug the show that opens Feb. 27. Previews of the play begin Feb. 16.

The play's producer tells People magazine that he's "gobsmacked at how suddenly he turned into this swan." Photos on the play's Web site show the actor posing shirtless with a white horse and with his shirtless female costar.

Radcliffe will star as a stable boy in the play which originally opened at the London National Theater in 1973.

"It is an extraordinary play, and he's very much looking forward to the role," Radcliffe's rep, Vanessa Davies, told The Associated Press in July. "He is maturing as an actor and beginning to take on new and challenging roles."

Most recently Radcliffe appeared as an over-sexed version of himself in Ricky Gervais' HBO comedy "Extras."

The whole argument about this is that Harry Potter is seen by kids nearly naked with a woman so they will do it too, a bad influence. I think there are far worse things shown on TV now at the time of day my daughter could see it, such as hangings, bombings, war.......... and this is just on the news!

Well, Mr. Radcliffe turns 18 this year, and after that he can do what he damn pleases. In the meantime though it's not like he was parading about naked. Most young women his age show as much skin as he did every time they go to the beach.

I think the problem is that people don't think of Daniel Radcliffe, 17-almost-18 years old. They think of Harry Potter, still in his 5th year of school at Hogwarts. And too adults are almost always reluctant to let kids grow up. But kids do that, no matter what the adults think about it.

I say "Go Daniel." If parents think their children are too delicate to see Harry Potter's naked chest, then they need to exercise a little responsible parenting and keep such dangerous pictures away from the little tykes.
