Has this forum made you more bold to tickling?

What I mean is, since you have come to the forum or somewhere you could post. Have you become more bold in your trying to tickle someone, maybe in hopes of posting the results, or trying a new technique? Just wondering. Since coming to the forum,back when it started, I have noticed that I have gotten more bold in my tickling AND letting people know that I tickle! This is very weird for me but it has happened. Now instead of staring at that foot that is tucked under the ladies butt for 3 hours at a party, I now go over and tickle the foot just for fun.
Anyway, any of you feel similar?

Well, I've been online for quite awhile, so the major influence on my tickling "bravery" was more the usenet ASFT and AMT groups, back before they were choked with flames and ads. They let me know I wasn't alone, and piqued my interest with new tickling ideas. Having said that, this forum HAS gotten me the old sense of community that's been a little lacking in the last few years, and I'm happy to be a part of it. So, I suppose, this forum has bolstered my confidence, yes!

I actually used to be bolder about it back then then I am now. I've learned the hard way that in workplace situations you can be skating on the edge of sexual harassment complaints if you tickle the wrong person (it was a case of reading signals wrong, basically). So be careful about the who, what, when, etc., would be my advice.

Course, on the other hand, being one of the official Old Farts of the TMF, I've collected a good many school- and workplace tickle stories/memories over the years on account of being, uh, forward...🙂

I'm not sure if newsgroups like AMT or forums like the TMF have made me any bolder. I think growing up has quite a lot. I'm now in my mid twenties. It's nice to be able to shed that silly sense of self doubt and shame that seem to plague those naive teenage years. That probably has more to do with it than anything.

I think that everyone's stories have strengthened my convictions about tickling: that most people don't mind it, in given situations. However I did learn a long time ago to keep my fingers (and feathers) away from co-workers. That's a no-no.

When I was in college, I worked in the university's main library. Millions of books, thousands of students. Many of them (co-workers and patrons alike) tickled during my tenure. It was a lot of fun, and we all shared a lot of laughs. That was then. Now that I'm in the "real world" in a "professional" capacity, you don't have that luxury anymore. Always taking the good with the bad...

Oh I quite agree with the no tickling in the workplace...

I think - not more bold but more aware....

Aware that there are so many people out there that are just waiting for someone to acknowledge to them that tickling is ok to do and talk about. I guess I think that anything that is fun should be ok to talk about, sometimes more discreetly than other topics of course, but still discussed.

I was in a restaurant with a tiklexpert once, : ) , and when I said tickling outloud I thought he would die! I just wanted to ask our waiter if he was ticklish. The waiter was so bubbly and friendly and I thought he wouldn't mind if I asked! My friend almost died when I said, "I was just going to ask if he was ticklish! " Everytime I said tickle he said "shhhhhhh!" Since that day I think I have an extra yearning to ask or mention tickle as often as I think of it!

Anyone else have similar stories of talking about the "T" word in public?

This forum did not, but gatherings did. So did USENET, to a lesser degree. So did gettin' older.

Mostly, comin' close t'dyin', and realizin' I had a chance to try t'do somethin' about gettin' "us" together had a bunch to do with my gettin' bolder, which got me to pushin' folks to meet in groups. Hence, the gatherings.

I was out about my bondage interests before this. YEARS before this. There were many public places to go, and it's largely acceptable, relatively speaking. Now, instead of it being wierd and wrong, I hear folks hush others about it, the way they would when hearing overt sexual conversation.

I hope this place makes "comin' out" easier for some folks. I was online for years before comin' out to others like me. Before that, I experienced "converting" women to this interest, predominantly. It's so much easier meeting women that already dig this.

I think I personally grew a lot bolder since going online and interacting, before the forum. The forum has now become part of normal life. I have to remind myself that this place is still a little 'out there' for those not acclimated to tickling being something more than 'child's play.' However, I have been more willing to talk about it in public (with those in the outside world). Usually, I'm out at a club, bar, or party where people are loose and not taking themselves and others seriously, so it's a great place to try bringing it up for those still a little shy.

Now that I see this thread, I have to tell you about my recent episode. Last Friday, I was sitting outside late that night just MYOB, when I hear a party nearby and people talking to me. So, I join the little suare' and start talkng to people. Later, as this party was winding down, I see this very cute girl laying out on the couch, apparently asleep. One of the guys I was talking to tells me she's a good friend of his. Then, partly due to the ethanol in me, I just started seriously tickling her bare feet that are sticking off the couch. She kicked and squirmed, started giggling, then sort of woke up - very cute stuff. No one made a big deal out of it. I guess they thought I was just trying to wake her up, but we guys here know better 🙄

Anyway, the moral of the story is . . . well, the point is, that I NEVER EVER would have tickled that girl as I did so nonchalantly had it not been the comfort I now have thanks to this forum - that and the booze of course.

So, I guess, the totality of this forum's influence, my growing up, and just sucking it up and talking about it, I have become bolder about tickling.

I'm sure most here can attest to what I and others have said on this.

This is actually my first post at TMF, I just joined yesterday. To answer the question, this forum has really been incredible for me. For such a long time I suppressed my feelings because I felt I was alone. The TMF has opened my eye's and allowed me to express my inner desires, wants, and needs. I am extreamly lucky that my wife, as of October 18 2001 😀, is very open to new ideas. She is extreamly ticklish, but would rather be the tickler... OK with me!

Anyway, thanks to all that has made this forum what it is today!!!

Not really. In real life no it hasn't much at all. But it has allowed me to be more open about it and know what i want when it comes to talking to girls about it online. And not be so scared or nervous about it as much like i was. And that is big part in thanks to Jennifer.

As for whether the TMF has emboldened me about tickling, I'd say no. I'm still as shy about it as I ever was! 🙁 But maybe someday I'll meet someone in person who shares my interest. 😀

In the meantime, have you ever thought about going to gentlemen's clubs and tickling the dancers? That's what I do (when I can afford it ). There's also massage spas that cater to fetishes. The girl just lays down on a table and laughs for an hour or whatever you pay for. I prefer the gentlemen's clubs though, cause its $5 a song where I go. And in the hour that I'd tickle one girl at the massage place, I can tickle several girls, for a lot less money at the club. It's a better value 😀

In the words of Steve Austin, the wrestler, HELL YA! After joining this forum, I started writing tickling stories and becoming more open and verbal about tickling. Lately, I have even asked girls if I could tickle them and have had a much more positive response than I ever imagined. I find that assuring them I am not after sex but only to give them an experience they have never had is very helpful. Because of this forum, I feel that I have come out of the closet, so to speak.
