I thought about writing my profile in narrative format, but decided that a simple presentation of data would be quicker and easier to read. I'll probably add things as I think of them.

Birthday: September 29, 1977
Ancestry: 7/8 Norwegian, 1/8 Swedish.
Marital Status: Single. (Probably forever. 😛 )
Occupation: Finance.
Family: Mom, dad, 1 brother, and one brand new beautiful little niece. 😀
Pets: One gigantic orange cat named Hercules.
Education: BA in Political Science, Arizona State University. (That's where the “ASU” comes from.)
Political Views: Independent. If you have to slap a label on me, I'm probably closer to Libertarian than anything else.
Living Situation: By myself, and I prefer it that way. I'm not totally anti-social or anything, but I've always needed a lot of alone time for some reason.
Glasses or Corrective Lenses: Both.
Personality in Three Words: Friendly, Lackidaisical, and a Rhinoceros.
Worst Traits: I'm lazy, messy, and I procrastinate a lot.
Favorite Food: My mom's pork chops with mushroom gravy.
Favorite Movies: Anything involving Kung-Fu, explosions, swords, or vulgar humor.
Hobbies: Video games, working out, reading, computer-related stuff.
Favorite Music: I like a little bit of just about anything, from rap to metal to country.
Favorite Authors: Tom Clancy, Dean Koontz, Wilbur Smith, George RR Martin, JRR Tolkien.
Favorite Novel: “Without Remorse,” by Tom Clancy.
Favorite Non-Fiction Book: “A Brief History of Time,” by Stephen Hawking.
Favorite Video Games: Urban Terror, Neverwinter Nights, and Final Fantasy III.
Pet Peeves: I loathe anyone who bullies others or enjoys pushing people around. I dislike arrogance intensely. I hate it when people help me with things, and I mean just about anything. Bad drivers also tend to piss me off.
Goals: Early retirement and getting into better physical condition.
Favorite Vacation Spots: Minnesota, Las Vegas, and NEST. 😀
Place I'd Like to Visit Someday: Norway.
Phobias: Needles and the inevitable passage of time.
Best Sport: Football.
Worst Sport: Tennis (I'm freakin' HORRIBLE)
Odds and Ends:
-I grew up in Minnesota.
-I would have majored in English if not for the ASU English department's draconian attendence policy.
-The only foreign country I've been to is Canada.
-I have lost 100+ pounds twice in my life.
-4 years ago, I weighed upwards of 370 pounds.
-I studied Wing Chun for several years, almost the whole time I was in college.
-I collect rhinos. 🙂
-I love comic books, although I'm not an active collector anymore.
-I had a leading role in almost every drama production my high school put on from 1992-1995. One semester, I actually played the female lead. I don't make a very attractive woman.
-The closest I think I've ever come to dying was in January of 2005. A friend and I were rear-ended on the freeway. Both cars were declared a total loss.
-I hate to shave, and therefore I do so as infrequently as I can.
-I'm addicted to diet soda, especially Diet Pepsi. I go through about a half gallon of it on a daily basis.
-Cold doesn't bother me. I'll happily wear shorts and a t-shirt in 45 degree weather.
-I once ate 4 whoppers in one sitting.
The story behind the whole “rhinoceros” thing:
Many years ago, I was in the TMF chatroom when another user started going on and on about how he was a model, and a millionaire, and had an IQ of 200 or some such. You know the type. Anyway, this started to annoy me, so I finally chimed in with, “Oh yeah, well guess what? I'm a goddamned rhinoceros!” They were somewhat taken aback and claimed that I couldn't be a rhinoceros, to which I replied that I certainly could be, that I lived in the zoo, and that they were committing a hate crime by insulting an endangered species. I don't remember exactly how the conversation went, but thereafter I would announce that I was a rhinoceros every time I entered the chatroom, and it kind of stuck.
