If you Google "West Hollywood crime" the first result is the LA County Sheriff's crime statistics page for West Hollywood. It's an interactive map, so you can see exactly what went down where over a certain time period. For an area in a big city, it looks pretty tame.

Crime shouldn't be too bad there. West Hollywood is primarily known for its large gay and lesbian population.

West Hollywood is a nice place. I'm confused though. Are you visiting and really wanted to look into the crime rate of a place you are coming to on vacation...or work? Or are you moving here? It just seems like an odd question. Just curious. Did you get the impression somewhere that West Hollywood was dangerous? In LA it's Compton you want to stay away from. West Hollywood is an upscale area for the most part. Lots of good eats and bars. The only thing there can be a lot of are a few corners where homeless people ask for change. That's about it.
