how long can person laugh for?

Is there some scientific info on how long the "body" can produce laughter?
What's the longest you've ever constantly laughed?

I think it's different for everyone. I've tickled women who could not stop laughing; others who laughed for a minute,then struggled the rest of the way. I just did a video, Jessie's 1st Tickle and she has a "short laugh cycle".

She laughed for about 30 seconds, then spent the rest of the time struggling, grunting and squealing; to the point that I was accused of faking her ticklishness in the video. Go figure.

I would assume it would be until your vocal chords or lungs gave out - which would vary from person to person. Someone who never shuts the hell up could probably laugh a good long time! LOL Someone with injured vocal chords, not so much.

I laugh all the time - so the longest I've ever laughed was probably some obnoxious number of hours.

Personally I can only laugh for like 45 seconds before my throat starts hurting.

I didn't see any where how long a person can laugh but I did see an average of what we do on a normal day:

It is estimated that a child laughs approximately four hundred times a day while an adult engages in some humorous silliness only fifteen times a day.

I want to be a child again, sounds like more fun!!!

I guess it all just depends on who you are - some people laugh for a period of time then quit - like sketch and tickleshow said - and then there's people like myself who just keep laughing and laughing until it starts hurting their throat, lungs, vocal chords, or sides and can't take anymore.

As time rolls on in a tickle session, my laughter actually gets waay louder and more intense, so it's pretty much a question of "When do I feel like my sides are gonna split?" I think the longest I ever went before I had to beg someone to stop was an hour and a half of virtually constant laughter.

I also looked around for a minute to see if I could find some kind of data on the length of time someone can laugh or an official record of the longest laugh... came up with nothin... maybe someone should try to set one?

I'd have to say every time in inhale and exhale while being tickled lol, Or maybe it depends on how much air the lungs can hold. I have no clue lol

I'd volunteer, and if they DID do that at next yrs NEST I'd probably have no voice by the end lol. But it'd all be in good fun 🙂.
