I don't know about the Facebook poll, but "A Christmas Carol" is my favourite novel of all time. Truly touching, and great movies, based on it too. It actually hurts me, that the things written in this book are true even today. And people are becoming more and more like Scrooge, thinking only about themselves, their money and well-being. In the 2009 movie, there's the conversation between young Scrooge and Belle, where she says : "I have been replaced by a new idol". "What new idol", he says. And she answers: "A golden one". So sad. And why should Christmas be the only time of the year, when miracles happen? Why should we be so good on Christmas, and forget the rest of the year? People are selling their souls for money...
I'm sorry about this outburst, but I just needed to share my thoughts with someone. As far as the original question- I'd choose the ghost of Christmas future. But must we see a ghost, in order to become better people?
