I'm new here (well sort of)

I've been a member of the TMF for years but this is the first time I've actually wrote anything. I really want to feel more a part of the community but have never taken the time to do anything about it.

My name is Josh and I live in Boston. That's my introduction, sorry don't know what else to write. It would be nice if someone responded though.

Thanks to everyone who replied! It was very welcoming. If there is a way to respond to individual posts I haven't found out yet, so my replies to everyone will just be part of this post.

1. I am not a Bruins fan, don't really watch hockey at all (or any other sport for that matter).

2. BrightEyes1082, please keep me updated on the Boston munch, I'd like to make it out.

3. Excess, never bring a sword to a gunfight! Just kidding, seriously though, don't! Thanks for welcoming me and hopefully we'll be able to move beyond our nominal conflict.

You are referring to the quoting function. If you want to reply to just one person's post in the thread, click the quote button in the bottom right corner of that box, and their text will be quoted in your reply box.

If you want to reply to several different posts in one single reply, then you want to use the multi-quote function. Next to the button that says QUOTE is another button with quotation marks and a + sign. This is the multiquote button. Click this button in every post that wish to quote in your reply. Then click the QUOTE button in the last box you wish to reply to. This will take you to a reply box and will put each individual person's post in separate quotations for you.

Its much easier to actually use these functions than explain it. You'll figure it out quickly.
