I can't wait to go see this movie. The reviews have been remarkable.. 95% at rottentomatoes.com! I'm going tomorrow, and I'm pretty excited.

I feel good for robert downey jr. He's had some rough times, albiet self inflicted, but you cant deny his talent. I'm glad hollywood took another chance on him. I hope he makes a good Tony Stark.

i think that's one of the reasons as to WHY he's playing Stark. both have stared down the bottle and lived through it.

oh, and if anyone hasn't caught it yet: Robert Jr., as Stark, will be making a cameo appearance in the new Incredible Hulk film.

as to seeing the movie itself, i'm pretty damn excited about it. Jon Favreau, the director, has a good vision. the trailers i have seen shows that the writers tried very hard to get as close to the origins that we all know as possible. oh, and the suit looks fan-fuckin'-tastic.

Incredible job, the Iron Man was ripped right out of the comics, that armor was wickled cool. Loved the story, the acting, the action scenes, Marvel has done it again. Welcome back!

YES, you guys need to wait till ALL the credits end, be patient! It'll be worth it. I'm hoping the Incredible Hulk will reach close merits to Iron Man, even half this movie. Wow, I'm gonna go see it again over the weekend.

Bring on the Avengers. 🙄

Saw it last night. I was actually quite impressed, especially considering it was an origin film (which sort of have a tendency to fall flat in the third act). The acting was well above average. I'm already really interested to see how they're gonna portray the Mandarin in the sequel.

Great movie! I've always been a Robert Downey Jr. fan and he has yet to disappoint. John Favreau did justice to the comic while bringing the characters/story into the present. Great action, great cast, great story... even if you aren't a superhero movie fan... see this movie!

And yes... stick around until the credits are over... 🙂

Saw it on it's premere date of May 2nd, the theater I went to was packed, this should easily be the number one movie and should have a long run in the theaters.

Quick questions though, not that I dont think Robert Downey Jr. did a great job as Tony Stark (don't know much about the character himself as Im not a comic book guy) but wasn't Tom Cruise suppose to play Iron Man? I think I heard that rumor somewhere at one time or another.

Other than that question, this should be one of the top movies of the year!

Oh no! My best friend, who works in the industry, always makes us sit through all of the credits (gotta give the people who worked on the film their props) but he wasn't with me this time and I skipped out the second they started rolling. Guess that's what I get.

Loved the move! Downey was awesome!

Ok lets do this without spoilers

This is one of the best of the comic to movie genre in quite a while. The CGI is excellent but without a doubt the best part of the movie is Robert Downey Jr as Stark. Dont think Cruise would have been bad..its just that Downey was born to the part and his personal life mirrors the "Before" Tony. I am sure he had a lot of fun with this role.

Even though there are a few glaring holes in the plot, you don't even care because the movie is just..well..so cool!

A few not-so-subtle anti-right messages in the movie but since it WAS made in Hollywood..well that is pretty much expected these days.

Simple plot..not difficult to follow at all..but not necessarily the best for young children as there is a pretty steamy bedroom scene near the beginning so be ready to cover the kids eyes...or pay close attention depending on whether you left the kids home or not!

A lot of fun though and an excellent start to the summer blockbusters!

Being a fellow nerd, I had no problem as Batman already has a butler, it would have looked dumb for Tony to have one too. I loved Jarvis as the AI computer system running Stark's place, it worked for the non comic-fan just fine.
