I ahve sigs turned off, but I was PO'ed when Philly eliminated my Devils then my Leafs AGRH!!

No kidding, as a die hard Leafs fan, this one really hurt.... damn I hate Philly!! :sowrong:

sox and Yankees are now even, so easy for the sox to blow a lead...!!

They were just on their "spring break" Couldnt make the Yanks look too pathetic this early in the season...😉

ATTENTION ALL NATIONAL LEAGUE TEAMS:

It is apparent that Mark Prior is slated to return on June 3rd. Although our pitching staff is good as it is, it will get even better by June 3rd. So, take advantage now while you can, because on June 3rd, Armageddon begins and you guys will be swinging at the invisible ball

Schilling shines to the finish
Reese's two pokes highlight Sox's fourth straight win
By Mike Petraglia / Special to MLB.com

Curt Schilling on Sunday recorded his first complete game in a Red Sox uniform. (Jim Rogash/AP)

• Twin pokes makes Reese the hero
• Reese's inside-the-park HR 56K | 350K
• Reese's second HR of the day 56K | 350K

BOSTON -- It's not often an ace throws his first complete game with his new team and isn't the main story.
But Curt Schilling won't complain if the storyline ends as it did Saturday.

While Pokey Reese was busy following an inside-the-park homer with a conventional round-tripper in consecutive innings, Schilling was tending to his business on the Fenway Park mound, yielding just five hits and one run while striking out eight in Boston's 9-1 win over the Royals. The route-going performance was the 80th of his career.

Schilling (4-2) used 120 pitches in tossing Boston's first complete game of the season.

"It was like negotiating with [general manager] Theo [Epstein] at the end for a few minutes," said Schilling of his late-inning discussions with manager Terry Francona. "I was a cool day. I felt strong.

"That's the situation I've been thinking about for five or six months. Being on the mound at Fenway Park in the ninth inning, [with] the lead and two outs. I wanted to finish this one," said Schilling, who induced pinch-hitter David DeJesus to pop out to first baseman David McCarty for the final out.

It was Boston's fourth straight win while the Royals dropped to 1-7 on their current nine-game road trip.

Should I mention that Eric Gagne got his 10th save of the season today for the first place Dodgers? Should I add that this extends his record to 73 consecutive saves without a blown save, dating back to August 2002? Or would that be boasting?
😀 😛

Well, well, Mils. Seems to me the Windy City pays you a visit to Chavez Ravine. Get ready to see your boys get swept. Gagne won't even be a factor😀

ATTENTION ALL NATIONAL LEAGUE TEAMS:
For those who haven't heard, Mark Prior will come back to a pitching staff that is already good, and with him will be dominant, so take advantage while you can, because on June 3rd all of your tickets to hell will be punched, and you will be carved up

Naaaah, JPie darlin, the Yanks just don't have it this year! The evil empire's ego got too big (with both jeter and a-rod on the team) and is finally beginning to fall apart...

ah, what a beautiful site it is..... 😉

Can't wait to beat u guys in the play-offs this year 😀 😀 😀

~clair 😀

JPie darling, I unfortunately have to tell you that you'll have to pay Ray your end of the bet, unless you can convince Jeter to hit the ball(he is hitting .195 by the way) and some decent pitching shows up. Its gonna be a long season for you, darling. ha, and double HA!!

Don't you wish you had our starting rotation? hahahaha

I wish we had the Dodgers 1963 starting rotation, as long as I'm wishing. 😀

Oh and Mils, do you really think your Dodgers can keep the pace they started? my money says they won't. Now coupled with yesterday's loss, that's five in a row for ya, buddy😛

As to your question, time will tell. 😀

Why couldn't your Cubs score any runs yesterday? :sowrong:
I will be watching them on ESPN tonight, and rooting for them intensely against you-know-who. 😀

I don't know why they couldn't score. Schmidt was in a groove, and he was throwing BB's by them. We should pound Reuter, though.

Besides, as least we pitched to Barry. None of these spineless cockroaches did😛

And now we are without Sosa for two weeks. oh well, at least everyone will be back in June, then we'll start rolling. Til then we'll just tread water😀

UPDATE.........

Redsox Win tonight 4-1

Yankees down 1-0 top of the second inning.

😀

well they both won last night my friend, Boston & Yankees are neck and neck. Should be an interesting season this year as I think its going to be like this to the end this year

BUT

I still say the Yanks will prevail!!
