It's time to make plans for the UNY V Gathering!

It's time to start planning for the fifth UNY! UNY V is a go!

The dates are Feb 1-3. For early arrivals on Thursday Jan 31st would be the day, and extended stay folks would be there until Monday Feb 4th.

We are still finalizing the costs, but will have that info soon, along with registration details at the hotel. Right now we wanted to give you all a chance to plan ahead and reserve the days.

We look forward to seeing all of our friends again, and the new folks that will be there too!

I'm new to the site, so please forgive my ignorance. What is UNY?

UNY stands for Upstate New York Gathering, this coming one will be the 5th. They are held in Albany NY.

Is it open to everyone? Yes, conditionally. We do take into account any issues a person may have had with the community at other gatherings, and how they have behaved upon the forum. In most cases there is no issues and folks have been able to come. It's basic vetting that all gatherings do.

At this time Cyro, I know of no reason that we wouldn't welcome you.

Hotel contract should be signed tomorrow and the info ready no later than Friday so if you want to come send the email to me ASAP...

The studio suites have one bedroom a kitchen, bath and living room with a pull out couch. cost $ 102.00 per night.

the 2 bedroom suites have the same with an additional bedroo. for $130.00 per night. 2 of these suites will be reserved by us. One as a common room for food and such and our own which will also serve as an additional common room for food and game watching and other activities. The 2 bedroom suites are in very limited supply. You will need a special code to make your reservations which will be given to you upon your successful registration with me, so get those emails out! As it stands now I have 18 definites, 12 most likely to, and another 15 trying to arrange to come. This would make it the largest UNY yet and we still have many to hear from. So act now to reserve space lest the hotel actually runs out of room for us, which would be a first in our 5 year history...

Tracy, Myriads and I are really looking forward to the best turnout ever.

Registration fee will be $30.00 per person in order to provide food and soft drinks and water for all day Saturday and Sunday. Friday we are all on our own as well as days extended before and after the main event. There are many restaurants and other places in the area and often times we get a group together to go out on Friday night...Newcomers feel free to ask whatever questions you may have, and you old timers prepare to have a blast as always!
