Lee, Ler, or Switch - When and How Did You Decide

This question is sort of separate and apart from the issue of when did you first realize you were into tickling? Since everyone here obviously did at some point realize they had an interest in tickling, when did you realize or decide that you wanted to be strictly a ler or lee, or that you were a switch.

I can't exactly remember when my interest in tickling first crystallized, but I have a stronger idea of when I realized I was a switch. I dated a girl for a while whom I often tied and tickled but I would only 'ler her. It wasn't until months after this began that one day she told me she really wanted to tie and tickle me as well. I remember being both very nervous and excited by this thought. Once I actually had to endure that feeling of helplessness and realized how ticklish I actually was and how much I enjoyed both the loss of control and the actual tickling sensations, I knew that I loved the 'lee side just as much as the 'lering.

Does anybody else have any incidents they can point to when they realized they were ler, lee or switch? Or has your decision always seemed a natural extension of your personality? If so, in what way?

I think that I have always been a switch, but I've gone through phases of one or the other.

As a youngster, I was much more into tickling others than in being tickled myself. Sure, I would gladly get tickled if the chance presented itself, but I'd take tickling someone else any day of the week.

It wasn't until college, when I dated someone not ticklish but with a love of tickling me, that I explored my 'lee side in more detail.

Since then, I've considered myself 50/50. Choosing one or the other just limits the fun.

Ever since I was little I was alway's being tickled by either friends or babysitters. Not to say that I wouldn't tickle someon if they asked, but I probably would ask them to tickle me first. The only other reason why I guess would be I like the feeling of not being in control.

At a very early age, i just knew, somehow. The tv image of a female 'ler tickling a male drove me crazy... i would then imagine that i was the 'lee. There was no decision process about it. I really am a tickling sensation junkie. I like the way it feels. I find it very addicting and delicious. For most purposes, I am a complete lee.
Occasionally, I have fantasized about tickling someone, but I have never done this in real life. For example, if I am tickled by a really good ler, I dream of being able to get revenge. I love the playful tickle fight.

I never decided. I was born this way. Have always had this fascination/love affair with tickling. Some of my earliest childhood memories revolve around tickling. Just good genes, I guess.

Glad you like the topic. I would also definitely put myself in the tickling sensation junkie category. I get a high from it, both as ler and lee, probably even more so as lee. Its very addicting; certainly my drug of choice.

In my case I guess being a sub it was kind of natural. I'm not sure if all subs into tickling feel the same way but I guess it kind of goes together (if you are into tickling of course). I can recall my first tickling but it didnt happen suddenly, several incidents led to it. It is a long story but... from that moment I knew I was a 99% ticklee.

For me, there was no defining moment either. It was a no-brainer. I've always been the "Mom with no kids." I take care of everyone I care about~I'm the sane sounding board for my family (who pretend to hate me for my lifetime of black sheep behavior until they want someone to cry to) my pets and the world's most amazing friends and THEIR kids (all of whom who I'd die for and worship completely) and my co-workers and patients (who depend on my no BS unconventional looks and advice) for pretty much everything else, what little is left.)
Being mostly a lee gives me a much needed break. For a change, I get to let someone else call the shots instead of being the shot caller.

I have always loved tickling for as long as I can remember. But only recently have thought about being a lee.
The reason being that I'm hyper ticklish in so many spots that I'm sure I would almost die, lol.
But I am willing to give it a go. Though finding a female ler willing to tickle a hyper ticklish male into near insanity, (cause that is what would probably happen lol), isn't going to be easy I think.

I'm a born 'lee, it's something I hated yet secretly craved since childhood. However, due to the mass of m/f material compared with anything else, I sort of conditioned myself into the mindset of the 'ler. Now that mindset comes a little easier to me, for various other reasons (my more sadistic side coming out as I got older )

I don't think I really "decided" anything. For as long as I can recall, from childhood on up, I've loved being tickled. All of my fantasies involved me as the lee. I guess I could be called a switch, since I do enjoy tickling others for fun on occassion...tickle fights and the like. I never really made a decision... I was just always into all of it... being a switch... and I always assumed anyone else who was into tickling was into both aspects as well... That is until I found message boards like the TMF and realized there was an entire subculture of Lees, Lers, Switches, and Tickle Monsters with their own sets of rules, bylaws and safewords!!!

As for being a switch...that would require a conscious choice. Not opposed to it either, just don't have a ton of confidence in my 'ler abilities, lol.

I had thought I was always more of a lee and had light ler tendencies as I enjoyed tickling others but those I would tickle back then disappointed me as they weren't the least bit ticklish or hated it .
Then 5 years ago I went to my first tickle party on the east coast in New York and with the encouragement of a female switch who wanted me to join her in tickling her extremely ticklish S/O who was a switch is when I realized I had a devious ruthless ler lurking in the shadows and her and I tickled this guy showing no mercy
Since then,I love being the lee ,love being the Ler too for those male lee's who love being Lee only ,or those lee's that enjoy being lee and alternating😀

At first, I knew there was something special about tickling, but I didn´t know what, and I never wanted to tickle someone or get tickled.


Now that I´ve seen the whole sexual aspect of tickling, I love the thought of torturing a girl and making her laugh by tickling.

Because I´m one of the most ticklish persons ever, I don´t know if I´d like the lee part as well.
I sure like the thought of getting tickled, but I´m not sure if I could stand it.
