Minimalist Shoes?

I never thought I would live to see the day where I would be posting something for the feet folks. Nevertheless, I had a question. Last night while I was working, a woman came into the Walmart where I worked wearing those minimalist shoes. If you're unsure what I'm talking about, I mean the shoes with toes. I, personally, think they're hideous, but I'm really not into feet, so I figured I would pose the question here. What do you lot think of them? Do you like them, hate them, just prefer barefoot regardless? I'm sure you all prefer plainly barefoot or nyloned or socked, but I'm mostly curious of whether or not you like the shoes.

Would have helped if you could have posted a photo of them. I had to google the thing to figure out what you were talking about. I think they look strange, but interesting concept. Not sure if they're comfortable, as I've never asked anyone I've seen wearing them. Granted, the first pair look like a magritte painting, I've never seen those in public.
My idea of minimalist would be virtually nothing there, like these gladiator sandels I think look sexy. Leaves nothing to the imagination. Yum.

There's nothing in particular about any clothing I really care about, except maybe minor hints about character, and even those kinds of assumptions I deliberately try to confine to stories and fantasies.

I'm not a good runner, but I must for my job and I hear good things about them staving off joint pain. As for aesthetics though, i'm a very style conscious guy and I think they look hideous. As for my fetish they lay in the same realm of hideousness. Deep in the bowls of unsexiness where crocs and birkenstocks lay.

Barefoot is best.

Flip-flops are best if footwear is essential (as on city streets or very hot sand).

Those shoes with toes are just plain ugly.

Gotta say barefoot or flip flops is the way to go. Im not a big fan of those strappy sandals that appear to be in style now either. For a runner looks aside those shoes are supposed to be really good

Bare foot or flipflops are a nice concept, but when you love clean feet, forgettaboutit! I know there are some folks out there that like dirty feet, but I'm not one of them. As far as I'm concerned, the cleaner, the better. Clean, soft and manicured. Not a blemish on them. Pretty, clean and soft ticklish feet drive me absolutely CRAZY!
As far as those shoes go, I agree with the majority here....they're hideous!

On an unrelated note, while working a similar job a young lady (mid 20s?) was walking around our store barefoot. I mean, alright, nice show -- she did have nice feet -- but it was kind of more than a little gross. At first I thought she might have just slipped her shoes off but nope, nothing. It was a little awkward.

Yeah no, I think he's referring to those.. ugly things with the toes. And yes, I have a strong disdain for them as well.

I think they're the most awful things in the world! Even if I were really into feet, they would be a huge turn off.

I hear they're great for runners though because your foot's natural structure is the best for your body, it's just always been bad at preventing shards of glass and rocks from stabbing you 🙂
