My Goodbyes

For those of you that don't know, I am leaving the forum, for many reasons. But to be a little specific the 2 top reasons are because I feel that I am treated unfairly by certain memebers and I am really tired of all the drama. To those that I have a friendship with, I am going to miss you, especially the people that I have first friended when I first joined or ever came to TMF. I don't really have much to say, but I'm really sorry that I have to leave, but really it's for the best. Basically because I have been through a huge amount of stress for months and the drama from this forum does not help me much. I may come back and I may not. So I guess those of you that care, cross your fingers that I come back because I really doubt it. So...I guess this is all really what I have to say. So take care and I wish you luck and good things in the future.

While I hate to see anyone feel as if they are being 'run out' of a place, I can understand, esp. when you're feeling stressed from other sources in your life. Heaping on more isn't good, so you have to decide what to do to stem the tide. While I've never gotten to know you personally, you've seemed like a sweetheart and I wish nothing but the best for you. Please stay in touch with those who do know and care for you, and be happy. And every so often, get a tickle for fun. 😀

That's kind of sad, Enny has been around since before my accident in Mexico and when I disappeared from the Forums, almost 2 years ago. Funny that I should start about the same time as her and then return just in time to see her go. Just like Mark Twain and Haley's Comet.

I wonder what it is that people who live online can't find in the RL and seek it here; yet can't find it here either, so end up ultimately heading back to RL for? I've seen it happen in other places too, like EverQuest. Hmmmmm. (Ponders)

...but I understand. Just because you can't hear someone's voice doesn't mean the words don't hurt.

As usual, Lite puts her finger on something some people never understand (or pretend they don't understand so that they can continue being jerks).

Communication needs to be reasonably courteous - the same online as in real life. It amazes me to hear the way some talk to others.

If they treated people like this in the real world, they'd be despised & avoided.

Dear Enny;

I've been reading this post for a couple of days and I've also read some of your previous posts and the responses to them. You simply cannot allow others to stifle your voice just because they don't like what they hear. I have read countless posts that I don't agree with, but respect because this is supposed to be a forum where different points of view can be expressed. So express yourself and if someone doesn't like it, them them to "kiss your grits!" But your opinions are just as valuable as anyone elses and they're not leaving TMF! Neither should you.

A friend told me many years ago, "you cannot change ignorance with a few words!" Your leaving the TMF will not make these individuals any more respectful of other's opinions.

Take your lumps and grow from the experience. Don't run away! You're needed around here.
