Looks a little scammy.

The one photo of a "participant" appears to be from a homemade-type video or photo set. There's no indication of it being a 501 or 503 non-profit, and no names of any volunteers, founders, or board members are evident. While I did find one link saying the money would go to SolesforSouls.org how do we know that's going to happen?

And they GIVE away stocks for volunteers to use? What's the shipping alone on something like that? Or do these unnamed strangers asking for money helpfully show up at your door with a restraint device?

I, personally, think it's either a fraud or a bad attempt at getting to see more feet for a foot fetishist. To start with, stocks from then were never used on the feet. They were to lock the neck and wrists. At least to my knowledge, of course. If the feet were ever restrained in the stocks, it would be because the person would be on their knees. If this is legitimate, my prediction is that it shall flop. More so considering the shipping of these stocks is bad enough, but they only want the person in the stocks in their homes? Yes... That will show someone or another...

There were different kinds of stocks, and the foot ones were used as well.

To start with, stocks from then were never used on the feet. They were to lock the neck and wrists. At least to my knowledge, of course.

The instrument used to lock the neck and wrists was known as a 'pillory'. Daniel Defoe, (1659-1731) author of 'Robinson Crusoe' among other books was sentenced to stand in this device for writing anti-government pamphlets.


Stocks were used for the ankles only, and the person sat rather than kneeling.
