I love omelets, but if it's eggs alone, I prefer scrambled.

What is your favorite sauce to put on steak?
 
It's been good so far, with some aggravation at how the Dodgers are doing.

Will you make any trips in the rest of the summer?
 
No I joked yesterday I feel like my summer is over (but I still have a 4-day weekend for Labor Day as I'm taking the Friday before).

What's better to take off work a Monday or a Friday?
 
I say a Monday because you're already happy it's Friday at work.

What's your least favorite day to do errands?
 
Saturday is my least favorite day to do errands. I like leisure activities on Saturdays.

What is your favorite day of the week to eat in a restaurant?
 
Sundays because we do stuff together usually every Sunday.

What's the best life advice you've ever been given?
 
Advice that my father gave me in the spring of 1973. I was thinking of leaving graduate school and getting a job at a life insurance company as an actuary. (I had passed the first two of then ten actuarial exams at that time.) I was discouraged by the fierce competition in graduate school. My father told me to stay with my dream of getting a Ph.D. as long as that was what I really wanted. I am glad that I followed his advice.

What is one piece of advice that you are glad you did not follow?
 
I encountered racism (like everyone has) even in a family member or two when I was growing up and I always thought it was stupid...ironically the best friends I have now are black (and I am white).

Would you rather eat watermelon or salad?
 
Pork chops.

Would you rather eat a burger or a hot dog?
 
A burger. 🍔

Would you rather have French toast, waffles, or pancakes?
 
Waffles (although it depends on the day you ask me that to be honest I love all 3).

What is your favorite flavor of syrup?
 
Almonds covered in dark chocolate.

What is one snack that is very popular but you never eat?
 
Cheesecake.

When's the last time you had cheesecake?
 
About a year ago, when it was served for dessert at someone's apartment after dinner.

When was the last time you had chocolate mousse?
 
Probably last Christmas when my aunt made it when I was visiting family.

Who's the best baker you ever had in your family?
 
My great aunt Bessie. She was my maternal grandmother's sister. She baked, among other things, the best toll house cookies that I've even eaten.

Who's the best overall cook you ever had in your family?
 
My grams definitely I would say.

Which of your grandparents were you closest to as a relationship?
