And damnit, I don't mean a tear or two....

We are talking WATERWORKS!
--------------------------------------

I guess I'll go first....

I am 260#, a former wrestler, have seen it all and done quite a bit, watched the births of my kids....

I cried at Beaches.

NO LAUGHING!

LOL

1) Going my Way

2) Cast Away

I'm sure there are others. Most just make me misty, but these two really got to me! Yes, waterworks!

The whole segment at the end of "A League Of Their Own," when the women come back for the reunion, does it too me every time.

I'm a complete sap for tearjerker scenes since I became a Mama:

Any Disney flick where they kill off a parent or child (Tarzan and Finding Nemo wreck me every time)

Dumbo, especially. When he visits his mom in Elephant jail I bawl, I no longer allow my family to watch it if I'm home. Hell, I can't even hear that "Baby Mine" song they play when he goes to see her 🙄

Beaches

Return of the King, the entire last half hour basically.

Sybil

The Color Purple

Babe, when they give away all the puppies and the mama dog is telling them goodbye (god I'm a sap)

Shadowlands

Roots

The Shawshank Redemption

Say Anything

And several more I'll remember as soon as I post this 😛

Bella

Its's weird, I don't cry at sad scenes, but at scenes that make me proud.

The end of Homeward Bound

The end of Return of the King

The end of the battle scene in the Two Towers

Rio Bavo- in the big shoot-out, when Stumpy shows up

A few more

Schindler's List, Six Feet Under (the HBO series), Steel Magnolias (ultimate chick flick I was forced to watch, lol), To Kill a Mockingbird, when I first saw the intro to Star Wars roll up at the beginning of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, after years of waiting for that moment 😀, The Killing Fields

The first time I saw Gladiator it was opening night in a packed theater and my best friend and me are sitting there at the end sobbing like idiots.

"League of their own"
"Beautiful girls"
"Joe almighty"
"Steel magnolias"

XOXO

Brians Song..that one got me. cant think of anyother one that got me..i laughed at Titanic..sad..that i did..but i did laugh.

I cry everytime they kill kenny..them bastards!😛

I have to second Bella on the Disney flicks. Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Tarzan, Bambi, and ESPECIALLY DUMBO...I cry watching all of em. Why, in order to make a good animated movie, must they kill off one of the parents??? Can't they produce one singularly happy movie from start to finish?

Others that come to mind....Beaches, Fried Green Tomatoes, Stone Fox, and What Dreams May Come (awesome movie, total tear jerker).

But the ultimate for me was Titanic. Yes, I'll admit it, I was totally swept away by that movie. I even knew before seeing it that Jack died at the end, and that still did not stop me from crying. Well, crying is not the word for it. Bawled is more like it. I bawled the entire last hour of the movie, I bawled all the way out of the theater to our car, I bawled all the way to the movie rental place where I stopped to rent some wrestling tapes that would take my mind OFF the movie, I bawled the rest of the way home, I bawled the entire time I was watching the wrestling tapes which did NOT take my mind off the movie, I bawled myself to sleep that night, and I woke up bawling the next morning. You'd think there was a death in my immediate family, the way the tears kept coming. To this day, even though I have now seen the movie upwards of 40 times, I STILL cry each time I watch it. I'm such a baby...lol

Mimi 🙂

Almost every novie I've ever seen.....Babe, Notting Hill, Big Fish... many more.

field of dreams got me..when Doc came out to save rays' (i think his name is) daughter..then they realized he couldnt go back..and when his dad and him finally met and they threw to each other..thats another great movie..just like rudy!!

I only do a tear or two...

Backdraft and Stepmom were no slouches - The first compels
and the second I probably won't choose to view again.

But the winner is a childhood staple- Old Yeller!

Terms of Endearment
Beaches
Titanic
Steel Magnolias

Just a few of my favorite all time tear jerkers.

Holy crap!

(LOL) I forgot about the most recent~Butterfly Effect, director's cut.

XOXO

The Shawshank Redemption

Bella

OK I can understand the other ones you mentioned but "The Shawshank Redemption"!!! That is my favorite movie but it made you cry!
WOW...what part, the end or a specific point...just wondering really.

Now Return of the King got me misty, esp when the King bows to the Hobbits...

I cry EVERY time I see "Old Yeller" that Disney movie...

That and Charlottes Web...OMG as a kid I cried every time I saw it and now I get misty just thinking about me crying back then.

I got the "pride tears" during Spider Man 2 this spring...that was kind of odd for me...

Here's my "don't laugh" contribution~Wizard of Oz! (When Dorothy is going back home and they're at the fair...)

XOXO

Don't you worry your pretty head about it, steph *Big hug* I get misty when Dorothy says good-bye, too! I will not, WILL NOT watch "Old Yeller". I know it's a classic, and all, but I had a tough enough time with "The Yearling". O.K.?

Proud moments? Tears ran down my face when Whitney Houston sang "The Star Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl.

There are quite a few. Let me start with a movie that I think eveybody cried at, had to be "Old Yeller"and the end of "Field of Dreams" and in "A League of their own" when Dottie and Kit reunite and embrace at the hall of fame inductions.and E.T.I also cried at,and i know some of you did too, when Jenny died in "Forrest Gump"and in the movie "Scrooged" when the kid who never talked finaly said at the end "God bless us eveyone".Those are just a few that pulled at my heart strings. I'm sure there are more of them but these are the ones that stand out in my mind the most.
