OK Slaver...here she is...

Yeah , the costume looks wack. Okay. Next.

Is it possible to tell if someone is a bad actor/actress from just their photograph?

I'll admit , I'm not at all familiar w/Adrianne Palicki or her career or whatever acting talent she may or may not have ; but looking at this pic , I'm just not buying her as an Amazonian warrior princess a.k.a. Wonder Woman.

She may have the goods. She might not. I dunno. But based on appearances , this show sure looks like it's going to be godawful.

I really don't like the costume. Too cartoonie if you're wanting to make a decent movie. I think of all things I hated about the X-Men movies I at least appreciated that they altered to costumes to be something a little less.

Not that it really makes a difference to me. Not of fan of DC all that much and never really got into Wonder Woman at all. Invisible Plane and Lasso of Truth? Meh. And really they just seemed to give her every super power. Flight, strength, talk to animals, super-speed, stamina and agility. Gee so she's Superman without the dick? What challenge is there or real struggle. Get's kinda boring all said and done.

Um... Yeah. Wonder Woman has the classic, regal beauty you'd see in one of Michelangelo's statues. This girl is cute, but in that "pretty girl from the mall" kind of way. Wonder Woman is also a trained soldier and a phenomenal athlete (if that term can be properly applied to a super-being) with a physique to match... The actress in that photograph has a nice-looking body in a general sense, but if she can throw a convincing punch I'll eat my shirt. For real.

Wow, the way you talk, you'd think you were Jack Kirby or somebody who's actually done something to even put them in a league to comment on somebody else's career. Lynda is legend, and you 'rejust a guy who draws dirty pictures on a Festish Comunity Website, so think about that.

It's also (extremely) sad that someone would respond with personal attacks when someone else simply expresses their opinion about a celebrity. Do you really care that much? Is there any reason to take it so personally? Maybe it's time to get off of the computer for a while and try meeting some people in the real world, because that kind of obsessive behavior seems rather unhealthy.

Ah , don't sweat it C.A.B. ... it doesn't sound all that bad.

"Festish" sounds like it'd be quite the party! :boogie:

... somewhat. 🙄

Well that's a relief. For a minute there I thought I should give up all this art shit, and start serving at the alter of reruns of Manix, then post like a rabid fanboy about it.

"You people know NOTHING of primetime drama!!! Mike Conners was A GOD!!! You are not fit to lick his wingtips!!! YOU ALL SUCK!!!"

My first choice, from the start, has been Catherine Bell. She is an exotic beautiful, 5'10", a kick boxer, rides motorcycles and is a decent actress (she also predicted who would win Superbowl 36, right down to the score). In fact the only thing working against her is the fact that she was born in 1968, meaning they would consider her to old for the roll. My guess is they were going for a lesser known (if not unknown) actress so people will focus more on the character then who is playing her (as they did with Lynda in 1975).

This costume is obviously inspired by the Jim Lee revamp, witch is sort of like New Coke, it sucks, and it is not needed. Add to that the fact that David E. Kelly is simply the wrong guy to write this show, just like Joss Whedon was the wrong guy to write the movie. I loved Boston Legal, and hated Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and neither style works for Wonder Woman. After all B.L. was pure satire, and Buffy was really the Insomnia Slayer (and he wanted Megan Fox as WW, I can't imagine a worse choice).

So the show (in my opinion) should star Catherine Bell, be produced by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar. I would probably have Greg Potter (is he still alive?), Len Wein, and Mindy Newell handle the writing, because they did such an awesome job when they revamped her in the 80's. I would, of course, involve the brilliant George Perez as much as I could. After all bringing Wonder Woman back after the Crises on Infinite Earths was mainly because of him. I would probably use something similar to what Erica Durance wore in the Comic-Con episode of Smallville from season 9.

I have a concept for a pilot posted on the None Tickling section of the Post Stories area of the forum if y ou want to check it out. It isn't funnished, but I think the idea is ok.

PS
Normally I would agree with you on the subject of personal attacks, except that the comments made about Lynda Carter's career were jabs directed at me. I won't be waisting my time on that social climer or his lackies anymore.

But they are gold not white..

Really? Somebody needs to smack David E. Kelly, or whoever put that costume together.

Slaver, bro, I mean, come on man. Is it really that serious? Are you Linda's husband? Are you related, or do you live together? That's the only way a dig at Linda could be directed at you. This isn't even the first thread where you've gone a little postal about defending Linda's 'honor'. I mean, it's all in good fun, so just let it ride man! It's not a personal thing, it's just a discussion about a doomed show, a former actress, and this horrible costume! And the fact that this 'Amazonian Princess' has absolutely no muscle tone, which is kind of strange for a warrior with years of combat training! It's been said before, but if this actress was blond, she would be dead on as Sailor Moon!

I think the actress is definitely hot enough even in spite of her obvious implants and red light lipstick. The costume is all wrong though. Wonder Woman is supposed to be sporting some serious thigh, not dime store spandex.

I'd have to say I'm disappointed.

I really thought this was a model doing a shoot for a fancy dress webstore or something like that.

It's a little disappointing. Surely WW needs someone who is built as well as hot, a bit like Jessica Biel circa the TCM remake, Stealth and Blade Trinity. The costume is a bit campy and plastic looking. Maybe it'll work out better on screen.

Anyway, nothing could be as bad as the Nic Cage/Tim Burton Superman project which thankfully never got off the ground.

I am going to have nightmares now. 😱

Now that's more like the Amazon that Wonder Woman is. That's what they should go with.

The first season of Wonder Woman in the 70's the costume was dead on to the book, then for season's 2 & 3 the updated it. Even if they went with the season 2/3 look for the new show (turn the shorts into a skirt lets say), that would still be better then the rubber looking suit they have stuck this poor girl in. Lynda was definitely type cast after Wonder Woman, but this chicks career is probably going to be over for good.
