Pedicures & Tickling

I have a question for ladies who are very ticklish on their feet. When that is the case, how do you handle getting a pedicure or do you give yourself one? When I get a pedicure I just tell them right away I am ticklish and they do it on the hard side so it doesn't tickle as much so I get through it just fine.

Well Jen, I mostly do my own peds on the odd occasion that my sis has done it for me (she's qualified in beauty) she has tickled me, unconsciously though lol and when she's had to pull my toes to paint them, with her touch, off shoots my foot lol and then she just gripped harder with a ticking off at me from her

I love my feet being touched and played with though apart from being ticklish its also very relaxing for me 🙂

For the most part, its bearable. There are times when I jump a little but hold it in. When I was in New Hampshire, Classy, Sadira, Bratgirl and I went and had a pedicure. They were very busy which means my feet soaked for a bit longer than normal. By the time the guy got to me, I could not hold it in at all and was laughing out loud. The soaking definitely made my feet more sensitive (naturally). Ya the girls got a kick out of that.

my feet are so sensitive that i can't get a pedicure. i always do my own. i'm also a bit of a germaphobe so doing my own pedi i know that my tools are clean. plus i get to go at my own pace which is nice.

Oh ladies , your'e all too funny ! Pedicures are healthy and safe; and the tickling we love it ! I mean I can hold a pressure point on your foot to render you unticklish but I'm too busy exfoiliating and massaging to really care if your laughing like crazy. Really ! I just tell you I don't mind ; go ahead and let it out. Sometimes I get clients who actually want it to tickle; like gigglely 20 year olds. I just smile and give'm what they want. They love it. So please, girls' don't be afraid of me, I'm your best friend ! A well pedicured foot is a happy foot and one that deserves tickling , if not on a pedicure throne then at least by your favorite ler. Enjoy it !

I have to give myself pedicures.. I get embarrassed in the salon because I laugh too much. Even if they do it hard, I laugh even more. They tried really hard to help me through the last one I had, but I just can't take it. It would be wonderful if it was private and I could just laugh to my heart's content without being looked at by some of these rich, snooty women like I'm a freak or something...

Well girls, Giving yourself a pedicure is a good alternative, not as good as a professional one and nowhere near as enjoyable but an alternative. Bringing your own implements to a pedicure is not always a good decision unless it is ok with your pedicurist and you are informed or know what to bring. If you are concerned about sanitation, know your salon or spa giving you the service and ask about their procedures. I sanitize everything I use 3 times before I use it. If you're worried about looking like a laughing fool during a pedicure, stay away from high traffic salons and go to a private spa instead. Much more relaxing and low key, and noone there cares how loud you laugh

I just grin and bare it!!

I laugh so hard, that all the ladies in the entire shop are cracking up by the time I'm done.

I love getting my feet pedicured, but, there are only certain parts that make me laugh.............. and I just let it all go!

Everyone is starring at me, but, who cares? My tips are good, and my money spends the same!!!

Personally I've been known to nearly burst trying to hold it in!!😱
But in truth I love the tickly feeling even on the occasions when I can't help but giggle.😱 There's one pedicurist i've gone to off and on for a while who konws i'm ticklish and she'll tease me with it kind of making it a game.
I recall one occasion there were a couple of older wealthier women who kept watching me But not in a creepy or upper-nose kind of way, it was more like a shared enjoyment kind of way as if they almost were silently cheering for me not to laugh or something. 😉 yet also enjoying the sound of my laughter when i buckled.😀

I'm curious, I know why spa pedis are better than those given in a salon, but why do they tickle more ? Higher grade spa exfoiliants maybe ? Please fill me in.
