Today, my father in law (Jpies father) was admitted into the hospital. He is being kept overnight for observations but initally, the doctors believe there is an issue with his heart. During exams, the doctors found a very irregular heartbeat. From what I know now, it is believed he will probably need a pacemaker and everything should be OK but as we speak, he is still in the hospital.

I would appreciate that you keep him in your thoughts.

My prayers go out to him I know my father-in-law had two heart attacks and a stroke and high blood pressure runs in my family, guess who has it now?
I know how you feel and I don't think there is anything worse than that feeling. Anyways I will say a prayer like I said and keep a positive attitude. Please let us know how it went.

Update

An update on the situation is as follows. Tomorrow, he is scheduled to get a pacemaker put in. Meanwhile, he has just been limited to bed rest. He can't exert himself in any way. He is ordered to NOT even try to get out of bed. Judy has been running around nonstop with her mother (who doesn't drive).

If all goes well, he should be relaeased by Wednesday. Thank you again. I would like to recognize each of you individually, as this is just my style.

Ray and Tracy- It is an honor to call you our friends. Being the first to respond doesn't surprise me in the least. I, personally, know I can count on you for just about anything.

Mimi- Thank you so much for all your well wishes. I really enjoy associating with you for the type of person you are. Your humor and bubbly personality, not to mention the great job you do for the mod squad, is more than an asset to this forum. Give my best to Laz.

Dave, thank you for the update, and for your kind words about everyone. Most people who have pacemakers are able to lead relatively normal lives, so I believe that Judy's father will be all right soon. Hang in there, and take care. 🙂
