primetime's University tickling survey!!

You know what I find amusing?

Most of the people that have a problem with what primetime did are saying it is because he lied and misrepresented himself. I think the phrase that really got me laughing was,

Pretending to be something you're not.

Puleeeeeeze. How many people on this forum claim to be the "BEST" ticklers? I mean, look at some of the user names here.

One of the things that the internet allows is the opportunity to live a fantasy life. The tickling life of Walter Mitty, if you will.

Let's get back to reality and off our high horses for once. :sowrong:

This was quite an interesting thread. To say the least. Fifteen years ago, when I was a freshman in college, before the sex harrassment laws got out of hand, I recall some friends of mine going over to a neighboring campus and asking girls some "Questions". While these guys werent into tickling, and I wasnt there to see the exact nature of the questions, I do know from their personalities that some of it was in fact some type of sex survey. Most of the girls on those college campuses were very cool, and I know that many times random tickling went on between people who didnt even know each other very well. I would imagine that with all that went on, the most some administrator would have done if a girl got annoyed with any questions is to tell whoever was asking the questions to stop. I mean, yes, while technically maybe the guy asking the "survey" was "wrong", how many of us havent lied for the purpose of enhancing our interaction with women and sexual gratification? Personally, with the sex harrassment laws being as they are today, I wouldnt conduct such a survey in the current world, feeling that since people get offended and sex harrassment starts at the littlest thing, I just wouldnt feel comfortable asking women I dont know. Daring and maybe a bit thoughtless of one's own protection is how I would perceive what this guy did, but not as a crime. I happened to have been asking the girl that cuts my hair if she thought asking someone if they are ticklish is sexual harrassment. I didnt actually ask her if she was ticklish, more so just what she thought of the question and the laws. She brushed it off, saying that while she may not answer a random person who asked her if she was ticklish, and say it was an inappropriate question, she would not report the individual to the police or press a harrassment charge on the first approach. It would only be if for instance someone who worked with her every day, or a customer of hers kept asking her if she was ticklish, that she would seek legal channels. What the surveyor did was probably not right, and perhaps dangerous for himself, but not a crime as I see it. Then again, with the harrassment laws being as they are, I wouldnt do this. I limit my asking tickle questions to people I know or interact with on a regular basis, TMF girls or female pen pals who I know and either email or write me letters personally. The only exception to this rule is say if I would ask a friend if he has a ticklish sister or such, but, again, that is a personal contact.
I really enjoyed this thread. Good debate. If things were not as they are with the sex harrassment laws, perhaps us ler ticklephiles could have more of these "surveys", but, alas, with things as they are in a 21st century world, I personally will stick to situations I described above before popping tickle questions on a girl.

I also believe this quite an interesting thread...

I posted a long time ago about what I called "accidental tickling"...in the post I remember a story where I was also in a public place and "accidentally" dropped something near a sandaled foot in line or near a bare foot under a chair at a restaurant or bar and snuck in a quick tickle and either got away with it or if they looked at me, I'd just apologize...

more times than not I got a smile and "oh, that's ok" and it turned into a nice conversation...a few times I got a glare, but I was just wondering...would this be considered "illegal" as well?

I'm pretty low on the totem pole as far as posts go, but I do know that we're all in this community for the same reason: "the love of tickling or being tickled"

shouldn't we all be looking out for each other? I mean Prime is a pretty well respected member of the community, isn't he?

Just my opinion...as mentioned in previous posts, I think we've all lied one time or another to get something we wanted (ie small talk at a bar, "pick up lines") and I'm sure we're all guilty of lying at some point to get someone into a ticklish situation that we use to our advantage

As mentioned in a previous post to this thread, I think there are alot of worse things going on in this world than what Prime did...

Great idea, by the way, I wish I would have thought of that!!!

This made it all EASY for me...

I have been a member here for awhile and have truly enjoyed it....up until now. I am probably one of many who are just becoming comfortable with our fetish and very very cautious about posting stories or photos that someone may put 2 and 2 together and "out" me in my personal or professional life.

Neutron's posting made it a very easy decision...I will NEVER post anything to this forum that could possibly identify me to my co-workers, including true stories and certainly not photos. I actually was reaching a comfort level to start sharing these stories and photos but not now. Neutron ruined it.

Come to think of it, I'm surpised my "Ticklish Aunt Sarah" story has lasted all this time without any Neutron-bombs. :wow:

Not that my opinion matter more than any other...but...

I waited a day after reading all these posts before responding...just to try and digest everything and give an honest opinion. I have come up with several points that may or may not be relevant:

1) Maybe Neutron (who I do not follow regularly in his posts) was just stirring up some conversation on the blurred line between honest fun and being creepy. Fankly I don't have a huge problem with the survey, or the means that the information was gathered. If the women in question were "weirded out" they would have called the cops themselves I believe. And while lying on any level is not acceptible there are different circumstances to everything. Prime did not lie in order to lure a bunch of underage girls into a dungeon basement. He told a "selective truth" in order to get them to open up about something he was interested in.

2) If Neutron did indeed call the police he was out of line, but no more than a neighbor who hears screaming from the house next door and calls the police and reports a fight. Maybe it was a misunderstanding, maybe it was a man beating his wife. An innocent person has nothing to fear from being accused. Probably the college security (talk about you oxymorons!) will be a little more alert to strangers on the campus, but it is usually the students who police these things and unless a guy is caught in the act doing something obvious nothing much is going to happen to him.

3) On the matter of trust, well, unless you're 100% confident in your life maybe you shouldn't trust a bunch of strangers around here. I know nobody personally here and so there is always a little held back. It's taken 8 years of being on line and several years here for me to post my picture. I'd like to think we all share a bit of modesty when it comes to interfering with each other, but if someone posted that they had paid a person for one thing and then tied them up and tickled them without their consent and video taped it and had it for sale that maybe we would be taken a bit back by it. Wouldn't we? 🙄

4) Personal attackes mean nothing on the internet! Anyone can claim to be anything (until their picture is posted 😀 )! If there cannot be a discussion on the issues we should not be attacking the person.

So I guess we'll have to see what washes out of all of this. Hopefully it will fade away because this community does not need such a split.

I think I'm a bit behind...

Um... okay, so I don't post much, due to lack of time mostly... I was reading through the posts today and came across this one... it disturbs me. I am 18 years old, and I don't really know any of you except for Shadow, who writes stories that send tingles up my spine. (grin)Um... but here's the thing... at the beginning of the posts, I was very interested in the college survey, considering I am in college. I am always curious as to the percentages and such. Then I read Neutron's post... everyone may be being a bit hard on him for his post, whether it is B.S. or not. He at least brought my attention to the fact that it is kind of creepy what P.T. did. I had a stalker at my first college, who in turn made me so scared that I left that university, even though I loved it otherwise and even played soccer there. It quite destroyed my life for the past few months. I am very hesitant to talk to the fellows on this board because of that situation. Females are fine. Lately I have been starting to get my nerve back up to be social with the male species of ticklers, until now. Primetime... I don't know you, or your history, but I think I can say that what you did is wrong. Even if the girls did give the information willingly, its still creepy and dishonest. Those girls had no idea you would be posting those things on this board, just as I had no idea that pictures of me would be on the internet. They did not give you permission because you did not tell them the truth. I am sorry, but please do not continue your survey unless you tell the truth. You don't have to listen to me, but I am just sending out a plea. (I know I sound weak, but I believe in this.)
Neutron, i don't know what beef you and PT have, but please fix it and slow down a bit before you attack someone like that. I am not brilliant, but there's better ways to deal with bad situations than creating conflict. You certainly stirred things up on this board. I dont know you or your history, and I'm not going to pretend to. You did just give me the impression that you are a jerk, though. You can never get the first impression back, babe...
Sorry this is so long, TMFers, wanted to get my thoughts out.
Love and (safe)tickles,
Allison

I said it once....

And I'll say it again....

"tron", among a select few others here, are like open sores....

Keep scratching, and they'll never go away....

Ignore them; it pisses them off more than anything...

Fuck 'em, post the stories ya want, a majority wanna hear about it!!!

Laz, the Man who will NEVER turn down a woman's foot....unless it looks like Britney Spears's feet....

yuck.

Fear not, TicklishAllison

Neutron's claim was tongue-in-cheek. If Jimmy was being serious in his comments, then God bless him, as he must have no worries. Forty-three million Americans have no health insurance. Over five hundred American servicemen and servicewomen have died in Iraq over zero weapons of mass destruction. But some tickle enthusiast's little white lie on a college campus demands action? Come on!

Primetime did not hurt anyone, nor did he wish harm. He lied to a few college girls for some kicks. So what? Several of those girls probably knew her was lying but let him play anyway; women read men better than they realize.

"All the ones not choking on the words they ate,
Are sweating on getting their stories straight . . .
All men are liars, and that's the truth."

TicklishAllison, a stupid lie does not make someone a stalker. I would not want to imagine the terror you felt because of that guy you met at your first college. But when the girls Primetime approached refused the survey, he took no for an answer, didn't he?😕 Maybe all men are liars, but not all men are stalkers.

I will make a suggestion...when in doubt about a member, use the search function within one of their posts. You can then read everything they have posted here in the forum and make up your own minds as to what their intent is and what type of person they are.

Jesus...

As a matter of fact, my experience with stalking only brought on the thought of, "What if those girls knew?" Yes, they may have been creeped out, they might not have... either way, Primetime and I have already been talking about this privately and have come to the conclusion that it didn't hurt anything, and he isn't going to do it again. Get over it. And with this stalker BS, I don't think all men are stalkers, I just don't trust men. Why are you all so defensive anyways?
And Venray, yes, I did research on his other topics, thus the reason I was very polite in my first post to primetime. I know he's a good guy, and for future reference: don't assume that because I'm a young woman that I'm a moron.😡 I've probably been around here almost as long as you have. Please, lighten up.
As for my closing statement... I love this board and everything that it has to offer, but people quite frankly are becoming rude and snobby. Think before y'all speak. Primetime, I'm glad we're friends. As for anyone else... I really don't try to be a bitch, in fact, I love talking with you all, females AND males. Hard to believe, eh? Whatev. Anyways, I will stop my pissy route of the oh-so-kind gentlemen here. Oy...
Allison

hehehe...??

Um, rereading my post, I realized I was pretty harsh, sorry all... I guess it's just not fun to wake up and get thrown into a wall because of misintepretations... Sorry for the bitchiness.

did you say oy! thats enough for me. you're okay!

party on.

Oy!

I took no offense, TicklishAllison

TicklishAllison, your words did not stike me as "harsh." You are entitled to your opinion, even when someone disagrees. Talking about tickling and related topics are what makes the TMF great!

And I would never assume someone does not know what they're talking about because of their youth or gender. God knows men need to listen to women more. It is easy to forget how intimidating a male stranger can be to a female, simply because of the size and strength differences between men and women. I always keep that in mind when I'm around a woman who does not know me.

Glory, glory, hallelujah, my truth is marching on.😀

I am also late to weigh in on this thread, as I have been without a home computer for a couple weeks. First of all, I am of course fascinated by the survey results. Second, the fact that the results of the "study" are of interest to many of us does not make the methodology ethical by any means.

Some have stated that Neutron's response will prevent them from contributing further stories and other media to this forum. I say that his response will prevent me from presenting a fake survey to unsuspecting girls at colleges for the purpose of satisfying my own fantasies. I personally do not believe that primetime should be charged with a criminal offense for his actions, but I do feel that a university would be within its rights to prohibit such behavior on the grounds that it is deceitful and may offend some if they were to ultimately know the true purpose of the survey. I think this just demonstrates how selective people can be when it comes to morality. (and please don't interpret this statement to be a strictly liberal-conservative argument, as I could include myself) I hope I speak for many in this community in saying that I don't want to be thought of as a "weird" or "creepy" fetishist in the sense that we all resort to such behavior to feed our desire. I would not have posted, but I felt that the thread was somewhat one-sided and not enough people were standing up for the idea that it's ok to not like this practice.

Hey Allison, remember that thing about the walk in the woods and stuff? um...never mind. :xpeepsofa: I'm scared of you, babe. 😉

Hmmm....

I've read this entire thread (I think), and I find it fascinating.

Let me ask a question: what if Prime was from a college? Seriously, let's say he was one of us but was doing his survey for a legit psych class. Would it make things better for our guilt-factors if the info landed in some dusty little psych paper along with the TMF? I mean, it's not like we haven't all read those freaky little experiments with the tickling robot arms and such in those '50's and '60's science magazines. Frankly, I find those creepier than what Prime did. Some folks here remember being downright greedy for those things...I refuse to believe that none of those experimenters were ticklephiles, they were too thorough  . Hell, I was a Psychology major, and could easily have done such an experiment...I read Prime's survey; no names or real descriptive information was given; we have no idea who these young ladies were, their anonymity is quite safe. I fail to see how any harm was done. Perhaps if he were Ashton Kutcher and dumped things on their heads or scared them half to death for money instead of just asking a few questions that they willingly answered to please himself...and yes, I know, they weren't 'willing' since they didn't really know who he was. So? You're right; instead of creeping out the little vanilla girls he asked them a few questions that were innocent to them and bothered no one. 'Lers have been trying forever to come up with ways to get girls to discuss tickling without being looked at like weirdos. Prime found a way. I've answered all kinds of questions for college and grad students; if any of them were for self indulgence on the part of the surveyor, I don't wanna know. My life has not been altered.

I did ask myself how I'd feel if one of my daughters mentioned such a thing had happened. Honestly? If my grown child told me that someone had asked her a few tickling questions and then she *let* them tickle her, I can't say I'd be upset, so long as she wasn't. (And I doubt one of MY daughters would be🙄 )

Eh, my 2 cents,

Bella

Hello, I'm new here. So I hope you don't mind my thoughts on this subject. I go To College, and I see surveys done on campus all the time! The Idea to go to a university and spend two hours on this survey was great! So you told a little lie. Nobody got hurt. Also, The info could be used for a paper later on. LOL

Its funny how anal we have become as a society over the silliest and most insignificant things. Yes, insignificant.

Growing up, there was no such thing as "consentual" tickling. It simply never existed. Gang tickling was a common happening; a group of guys or girls would briefly conspire against someone, jump them, hold them down, and tickle the hell out of them. The fact that the subject may be deathly ticklish didn't really factor into the equation other than to be the key reason why they were singled out. But then, that was the nature of the typical adolescent.

It was the same for waterballoon ambushes, chasing girls with dead animals, and playing "keep away" with someone's book, hat, ball, or whatever was important to them. Nobody asked "is it okay with you if me and three of my buddies chase you, pick you up and throw you in the pool?"

Now, if you ask me, that was some really egregious shit back then. But somehow, people took it in stride. And, those very activities, dare I say, have helpled to mold many of our desires of today.

But now, here we are, 25 years later, stressing each other over the moral dillema of simply asking a QUESTION without the benefit of representing a national laboratory or international health and science organization. :wow:

ROFLMAO!

# 1 My post was not directed at you.

# 2 I assume nothing based on age or sex of a person, I make my
decisions based on what the person says and how they act towards others.

# 3 What I was really saying was that before anyone makes a decision about motives behind a post read all of the posts made by a member in question and you will be enlightened. I was NOT referring to Primetime's posts but others who posted as if performing a public service, when in reality were only posting to stir up trouble as per
usual.

Don't take what I say as personal as if I meant it to be there would be no doubt. I am a pretty straightforward kinda guy. 😉
