Thanks to both of you for your replies. I am still working to get this experience on paper, but lately, my schedule has been difficult and finding quality time to write has been harder than usual. Nonetheless, I hope to have this done sometime fairly soon.

The events in this story took place just over a decade ago. Many things have changed, including the fact that Kate is now living halfway across the country, and she's got kids. But we do still have encounters like this when we're able to visit. I suspect that will always be the case since this has been part of our relationship since the earliest days of our childhood.

Leaving tickling for a moment, like I mentioned you relationship is amazing. My closet cousin lives 6 states away and I havent seen her in over 5 years! I too was an only child in a pretty small area. It would have been great for me to have a cousin living nearby to grow up with. Your relationship is very special and I hope that relationshiop continues for you.

okay, that was really good.. except taht it was really sad.. seriously.. i was like crying at the first part, up until well i dunno when i stopped.. but i found it really sad.. i'm glad you're okay and you have a cousin that loves ya so much.. it had a happy ending, i guess it's sad bc this is the second night my mom has been in the hospital, she'll be fine, but she had to be taken to the hospital from work friday night and she has to stay in the hospital tonight too.. and should be home tomorrow.. but yeah, still a good story..

I'm truly sorry to hear that your mom is having such a tough time. I hope she's home and feeling well again sometime soon. As for my prom experience, it was wonderful, as you'll see once the whole piece is finished. I'm glad you enjoyed reading about Aunt Sarah. The two stories I shared really summed up the general tone of our encounters in my childhood and early teens. As I posted not too long ago, we had another visit within the last year or so, and I may write about that at some point. This did take place a bit earlier than 1998 — and I apologize for not being more specific. I’ve deliberately blurred the timeline and geography of these events, partly to protect the identities of the people referenced in the story. Thanks for reading.

Hey Reflex! I just wanted to say these aren't true stories, they are true NOVELS! Sometimes when I read some stories I may just skip straight to the tickling. But I found myself reading the entire thing and enjoying the details and history of your family memories. I saw the pic of your grandmother's house you posted, it is a really beautiful house. And even though things have changed since you were younger, I'm sure you realize how lucky you were to have people like Kate and Kelly in your life that openly accepted you for who you are. It must have been a treat to have two very ticklish friends agree to sit there and take the tickling. Most girls my age don't like feet and say they're gross, even though they get pedicures/paint their toes and wear sandels this time of year. Anyway I wanted to say thanks for your stories and that I am reading one each day so they last longer. lol

Outside of a great lover who indulges your tickling passion, could there be anyone better than Kate, a lifelong friend who understands you and lets you tickle her? I like to provide enough details so readers can get a clear mental picture of the events, places, and people I'm describing. I'm being especially fussy about this piece, as it depicts some rather poignant, deeply personal moments from my own life.

Finding the time to complete this has been tough (job circumstances and a host of other factors have complicated things of late). I did just upload an additional five pages or so of content, and I'm still determined to complete this piece this summer (a number of you have asked).

The story hasn't vanished forever. Geocities, the web host I was using, went out of business a matter of days ago, and I'm still searching for a new host.

The prom story isn't done yet (my life has been complicated in recent months and I've been forced to jot down small pieces of the experience when spare time has allowed). It's at least eight pages longer than it was when you last saw it, and I'll be posting what I have as soon as I find another free host that I like.
