Has anyone ever heard of someone who puts WD-40 on sore body parts to loosen up any swelling? A couple weeks ago I was talking to another dude who used to drive long haul truck He noticed me limping a bit and asked me what was wrong

I told him I had broken my left ankle, plus had torn ligaments in same ankle about two years ago I also told him how I can't wear laces across that ankle for more than a couple hours at a time Pluss it also swells up when it's get cold out

He then told me how he rubs in WD-40 on his shoulder blade to loosen it up and reduce the swelling
Part of me wonders if he's pullin my leg (probably) or if he's tellin the truth

For those who don't know what WD-40 is You spray it on metal parts to lube it up or on bolts and nuts to loosen it up

I would read the label before putting a water displacer on my skin if I were you...

Oh I did It's just that the guy who told me about that sonded so serious🙄

Hmmm...interesting. Needs more research, never heard of it...

XOXO

Zod, yeah it works. My grandfather has arthritc knees, and hands, and when it flares up he rubs some of it on his aching joints, and it works. The key is use it in moderation, and don't put a lot of it on you at one time😀

Not so Strange

When I worked on the line in the auto industry I knew people who did it after their shifts( or during) ` hey the smell of Ben Gay is just as bad.

For the record ,even tho I sustained a torn rotator cuff from the line I never did this.. I used the nasty bengay! lol

Ghostie

Toxic ingredients

Eeew...I'd check out the ingredients/chemicals in the product first. I know it's *really* slick stuff.

LOL. This reminds Me of the Father in 'My Big, Fat Greek Wedding', who sprayed Windex on skin sores/ailments to get rid of 'em FAST!

You never know. Some fool got the crazy idea to use superglue on gashes and cuts to seal them up, and now it is the new fangled thing. They may have changed the components a little bit for the stuff they use for cuts now(I am not sure), but I am told that is what liquid bandage is. The glue keeps the gut together, and as it heals, the gloe grows out of the wound and then falls out with the dead cells from the scab. So you never know about these things.

then again...
models and pageant contestants have long relied on Preparation H around their eyes for a quick-fix 🙄

Are you serious? Like I'd want to put something meant for my a@@ on my face 😱

Yes my dear~It's a long guarded secret~shrinks the tissue there, just like it does for the bum. 😀 They also put vaseline on their teeth so the lipstick doesn't rub off and smiling is easier. They ALSO use duct tape to keep swimsuits from riding up and duct tape the breasts up and together for bra-free super cleavage.

(Pathetic the lengths some of us will go for men, ain't it?)
XOXO

WD-40 is a petroleum-based product that has very limited capacity for penetrating the skin. Even though it probably will not hurt you, it certainly will not help. The "dude" whom you spoke to about using WD-40, is mistaken. In fact, he is probably doing more damage to his lungs as a result of prolonged inhalation of the fumes, than any good he thinks he's doing for his pain.
