Question and suggestion for producers - increasing reality in tickling vids

Back in the 90's, most videos were staged and had a fake storyline. The first videos I can remember buying that began introducing reality were Jeff's videos. I remember buying his Farrah videos and Courtney videos and loved the interaction, discussion and reality of the scenes. I've noticed over the years that the reality in tickling vids has increased in both quality and quantity. I'm a big fan - the closer to reality, the better I like it. I love pre/post tickling interviews or other outtakes.

I recently purchased a vid from MPTickle where the model says "stop... mercy, stop", the scene cuts and when the clip starts again, she is saying "sorry, this takes a lot out of me" as he begins to tickle her again.

Question is this - during the actual tickling scenes, do you provide safe words for the models that they may use and if so, what % of the models actually use the safe word or ask for an unplanned break?

A suggestion (at least for me) is to include some of the portions that likely end up on the cutting room floor. I understand that some may love 100%, no breaks, tickle torture from start to end. For me, when I buy a 10 minute clip, I wouldn't mind 2-3 minutes of outtakes, bloopers or interviews to make it more real and better know the models true reaction and feeling towards the tickling.

I actually really like the random behind the scenes and cut off bits that have been posted a few times.

ZenTicklings one with amber where shes talking to her friend whos sat there watching is pretty funny, i think she says somethign like "you sure you dont wanna put on a mask and join in" but doenst finish the sentance cause the tickling starts again.

Very good material.

I use the safeword Red with models. I would say maybe half of them use it at first until they get used to the situation they've put themself into.

Cool. What happens with that portion of the film when she uses the safeword until you restart? Do you or have you considered including it in the clip?

Models that I did shoots with I tried to pick things that viewers would not realize like even though you can't try to bite me when I see that I will taunt and move to a spot thats not ticklish for her. in some cases this was not easy like lea look at her and she was laughing

We do, and it depends. We can usually tell when they're getting tired, and will simply cut naturally.

But some of the shots we tell the models we won't stop until they use a safeword, then give some behind the scenes incentive for them to hold out as long as possible. Then we go to town and don't stop until they do.

I share your love of the "real" shoots. We've always strived to do that as long as we've been doing them by recruiting models that don't do adult work, and we never coach the ticklees on how to laugh, or how to exagerate a reaction. We do work with our lers as needed, but we want the interaction to be as natural as possible.

Part of that is outtakes, which I love. I'm attaching someone I posed here on the boards several years back. It features Jenisa, whom you can find on our www.tickletown.com site. For a time, we were having the models do little plugs for our site "TickleTown.com a site for people that love tickling" But when you're tied up and partially sweaty, that can prove to be a tongue twister. So I'm attaching some of that footage of her between shots, just as herself. This is the kind of stuff that ends up on the editing room floor, but I feel it's a good showcase of who the model really is, her true personality.

Second, check out our Chesh interview at http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?t=137923

While most of our interviews cover the predictable 'where are you ticklish' bit, when we were talking with Chesh, the interview took on a life of its own. You can tell she's passionate about a great many things, and it was wonderful to just let her go on different subjects. She's a beautiful geek at heart, and while it's not exacly a "behind the scenes" bit, hopefully you can appreciate the video there on some level.

When I use safe words, the models very rarely use them. Unplanned breaks are rare as well. I'm usually the one who decides when a scene is over. But if a model interrupts a scene for whatever reason, I respect her wishes.

I see what you mean. The problem is, many other people would mind such non-tickling footage, especially since not all clips are 10+ minutes. My catalog includes a fair number of clips that last only 5 or 6 minutes. Include 2-3 minutes of in-between stuff, and you get some very disappointed (and possibly pissed off) customers.

I would be more enclined to include more outtakes/bloopers/interviews if the market were still mainly about physical videos (videotapes and DVDs). I mean, what's a few minutes of amusing behind-the-scenes stuff when a video lasts an hour, or even 30 minutes? But now that I shoot scenes with individual downloadable clips in mind, I feel that I can't waste too much time with footage other than actual action. It's too bad, really, but I have to evolve with the market.
