I have not been around here for some time due to the recent turn for the worse health of my grandmother who was not give lots of time left on this earth. Between making arrangements and coming to grips with the inevitable, which has been coming for longer than expected, my grandmother has passed away early this morning, 5:45 am Monday June 17th.
She went in as much peace as humanly possible given the situation she was in having cancer, renal failure and gangreen in both legs as well as a failing heart. The Powers that Be finally relieved her of her agony and she passed in her sleep and heavily sedated to ease her extreme pain.

I wish to thank eveyone who has been close to me in the community and those who have not been as close but who still expressed their concerns, prayers and wishes to me prior to her death.

I will return soon as her memorial service is this coming Friday as she so expressed she wanted to be cremated immediatly upon her death.
I am carrying out her wishes to the letter.

Thanks again to you all and I shall return.

Be nice to each other. Let's end the fueds and negativity.
It is never known what they have had or have till its or they are gone.

Most Sincerely,

TTD
Ed

TTD...

TTD i am very sory for your loss, and send my condolences. She is no longer suffering now, and one should not focus so much on the dousing of the flame, as remembering how brightly it once shined. I wish you the best of luck.

She was a lucky lady to have such a caring grandson. You and your family are in my prayers dear friend.

Ed, words cannot express my sorrow at your loss. It breaks my heart to know the pain you carry, yet I know your strength and resolve. Your dedication to your grandmother is commendable. I pray that in my old age, I have someone as close to take care of me.

My door is always open, anytime buddy.

Ed, no matter how much it may have been "all for the best" I KNOW that it is never easy.....Never easy to let go of the ones we love. My and Tracy's prayers are with you and your family.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My grandparents are well into their 90's, and I feel fortunate to still have them with me.

Ed,
I'm sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts as you find your way to honor her in a new way. You've obviously done a fine job in the past and I'm sure she was very proud of you.

Take care, and peace be with you,
Joby

I too am sorry for your loss...it may mean little now but you can take solice in the fact that in time, the sorrow you feel now will be replaced by fond memories of time you spent with your grandmother during better times.

TTD,

Hugs and thoughts are with you today my friend. I too was very close with my grandmother who was an exceptional woman and was an inspiration and a joy to all of us. I spent much time with her happily. My heartfelt prayers buddy. The body can go but they can never take away the special bonds!

I understand, as my Grandmother passed on abruptly and unexpectedly in April. Some lines bounce around my head that may help you.

"In my tradition we do not grieve the loss of the body. We celebrate the releasing of the spirit." - Lt. Worf

"Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter." - Master Yoda

"We will meet again, in a place where no shadows fall." - Ambassador Delenn

You've sure been on my mind Ed!

Just wanted you to know that. I hope you're holding up ok.

Sorry for your loss Ed...

Ed, I know you spoke of your grandmother often.
Take care man, we will welcome you back with open arms when your affairs are in order.

To my one and only .

There is no heart bigger than the one you possess. Your caring sweet nature is what made me fall so madly in love with you (and a couple of other things too ... wink wink!) You took such beautiful care of her and that is why it was so hard for her to leave you! May she now rest eternally, may you be at peace with yor life and I look forward to us being together forever! I LOVE YOU !!!!!!! always Patti

I so respect what you did for her, sir, and feel for you. That's just an awful feeling. I'm glad Patti's got your back, brother. We're thinkin' of ya, out here on the west coast!

I cannot say that I know how you feel, because I can't possibly, but I can understand what you are dealing with, having gone through the same experience with my mother. My deepest sympathies, and most sincere condolences to you, and your family, You will be in my thoughts, and always in my prayers, because I consider you my friend. [email protected] if there is anything I can do. God bless you!

That is indeed sad news, and you have my heartfelt condolences and sympathies. I still miss my Grandma Strick, even after 5+ years. Our family still jokes about how she's walk around her chair to break bad luck at cards, as well as give someone the "hoodoo" (has to be seen to even remotely understand it) to break their good luck. Her absence is felt, but eased by how she lived.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I imagine it was especially difficult for you because of the extended time-frame for her passing.

Of course, you honor & have honored her memory in the highest way possible by being as fine a grandson as any one could ever hope for. May your generous & loving spirit find its own peace, too, my friend.....

Call me if you need anything, or if you just want to talk.

Everyone has already said it all so eloquently...
