Some sad news, on behalf of kwildoctr...

I feel kwil's pain. I lost my mother two days before this past Christmas in a housefire, a blow I'm still recovering from. These will be very hard times, my friend, but even though it seems hard, there is light at the end. Though the pain will never fully go away, you eventually come to terms and accept it to some degree and keep living. The priest at my mom's funeral said something that made me feel better and I pass these words to you in the hopes that it helps you as well...

"Though he has passed beyond us, he will not be forgotten, so long as his children honor him by taking his better qualities and adopting those qualities in their own lives to enhance themselves and those we meet. Then will he truly live forever."

I’m so sorry. I think so much of both of you. such a wonderful couple. wish I could be there for you, kwil. you are such a good man. it kind of stinks when you find people you like so much, who are so far away. know that I am thinking of you, and wishing you the best.

I’m so glad that you have each other for the hard stuff that life dishes out.

Slacker, my heart aches for you. My father's passing was, frankly, just a matter of time because of his poor health and age. Your mother's passing was unexpected and much too soon. Keep your chin up....

Thanks for your concerns. But this is about kwil and his pain. I've come to somewhat accept what happened, as he will too. At the most, you can at least be glad that his painful struggle is now over and he is at peace for the first time in years. just always remember the good things about him and you'll be fine.
