Songs You Love (but won't admit to anyone... until now)

Baron...I adore Bobby Goldsboro...and Honey makes me cry!

Jim Croce hasn't come up yet (but maybe he's still cool?) - I love Time in a Bottle

And who sang One Tin Soldier?

...And, Strider, you like all that good Glam Rock, yet you own the Brittany Spears collection? Oh, my, that's terrible!!

*sigh*

I know,I know.I should just turn in my card that identifies me as a headbanger to atone for this.

Just remembered. I also have "Gary Puccet and the Union Gap's Greatest Hits" (Woman, woman. Go Away, Little Girl), although I'm not really ashamed to admit it.

I love the song "Simple and Clean" from Kingdom Hearts. I don't admit to it to people because its "Disney!"

alica keys, the new one...its like..if i aint got you ..something like that. i do like it a lot.

If anyone laughs, I swear....

Alright.....

Now as far as favorite songs go, you guys, and some of you girls who are wrestling fans out there had better be honest about this one...

Who marked out and got goosebumps, in the mid-80's, when watching Saturday Night's Main Event, or a PPV, and all of a sudden, "Real American" blared thru the tv speakers?

🙂

Abba

Most, if not all, hair bands

METALLICA!!!!-(Especially my former entrance song-"Whiskey in the Jar")

"You're a friend of mine"-clarence clemons and jackson browne

Most 80's music, like "Dance hall days" and Culture club

Alot of today's heavy stuff, like godsmack, linkin park

Alice in Chains- "Man in the Box"

Slayer-"dead skin mask"

Evanescence- "My Immortal", and Bring me to life

( My Immortal was played on a year-end wrap up of WWF Raw on the first of this year....)

The slow cords of the song started, and they started showing footage of all the wrestlers who had died in 2003....and there were many....

Seeing Curt Hennig, Road Warrior Hawk, Crash Holly, Stu Hart, and the others was, I will admit, breaking my heart-I had never heard that song before, you see-

But when the camera faded out, and Elizabeth's pic came into view, I lost it. That song, and everything....

Hey, I'm sensitive too!🙂

But that was the first time I'd heard that song, so Meems and I went and found out about Evanescence, and here we are today, happy and loyal fans.

And DAMN has Amy Lee got cute feet!

The Banana Splits Show theme song-"Tra La La"

😱

Yes, for real, I am not kidding....

"One banana, 2 banana, 3 banana 4...."

lol

One giggle....so help me, one giggle....one snicker, one laugh, one guffaw, one chortle, one chuckle, one snortle....

LOL

Shy Shy by KajaGooGoo
Mmm, Mmm, Mmm by Crash Test Dummies
Bittersweet Symphony by the Verve (a classic in my opinion)
Ice, Ice baby by Vanilla Ice
😛

The theme song from "The Facts Of Life." Anyone remember the episode where Blair got her feet tickled by the squirrel in her bed? There was some great laughter for a TV tickle scene.

I was afraid to admit it at the time, but "Down by the lazy river" by the Osmonds and "I Think I love you" by the Partridge Family. Back when they came out I listend to those songs at full volume when nobody but me was at home and I loved dancing around the room to them. Now DoubleT is gonna see this and I may never hear the end of it .He didn't know I did that when no one was home. SUPRISE DoubleT.

Desdemona, a one hit wonder group named Coven sang, "One Tin Soldier". And for strictly vocal reasons, I love "The Candy Man", by Sammy Davis, Jr. I was hoping he'd do the Oompa Loompa song, as well, but he never did. What a voice!

*raises his hand*

The opening riff alone is enough to get me cheering like a maniac.

Tarzan Boy by Baltimora also comes to mind.Does anyone actually remember that one?

Butterfly by Crazy Town
Do anything for love by Meat Loaf
What's going on ? by 4 non-Blondes
99 Luft balloons by Nena

and don't anyone laugh at me😛

How can I laugh at you when I like, "I Am Woman", by Helen Reddy! It's those horns! Great song, but I wouldn't play it in front of any biker friends.

just remembered this one:

cherokee people, by paul revere and the raiders

Hey Partridge fans...

Hear about the new show on VH-1?
XOXO

I've resurrected this thread, because I've been reviewing my mp3 collection, and just can't explain liking this song: Barbie Girl by Aqua. For some unexplained reason, I just like it, even though I consciously know it's soooo wrong. LOL. Thanks for letting me vent. 😀

I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I love anything by The Village People. "San Francisco (You've Got Me)", "Macho Man", "YMCA", "In The Navy"... that stuff is just so much fun! And remember, all you die hard rock fans... Kiss had a semi-disco hit with "I Was Made For Lovin' You", in 1979.

Giggles is doing some heavy duty reviving of threads! Thanks!

Okay, I admit it... I love The Partridge Family! Especially Susan Dey!(Laurie) Even though David Cassidy was the only actual singer heard on their records, (the other members were influences on Ashlee Simpson), the songs were fun to listen to. I especially liked the song "Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted". It still takes me back to Little Rock, Arkansas, 1971.

I'm sure I could think of quite a few......but for now I'd say:
"I Can't Drive 55" by Sammy Hagar. So awful, yet so infectious........like warts.:xlime:
