Okay, granted the last couple of seasons have been sub-par... but the ride is over as of Sunday night!! :dropatear

Eight years of this shit, gotta see it to the end. Probably the best show on television, followed closely by Six Feet Under IMHO. The last two shows have been very intense and lost some key characters along the way.

Any predictions for how it will all end? The promo for the final episode is eerie, I can't wait!!!

As far as spoilers out there, I don't believe any of them really. No way in hell do I see Tony singin' to the Feds, nor do I see Paulie as a rat... he'll remain true to the end. Woke up thismornin'.... :veryhappy

I'm just hoping Phil gets hit, somehow. I would also love to see Tony's sister get what she deserves. I believe she has always been the most evil character on the show. LOL

Mrs. French was VERY upset that Syl got hit last week. Yeah, I know he's not dead, but she just loved the guy.

This season has certainly been better than that abortion last year. Still, the show has seen much better days.

Do you suppose Tony is sorry he doesn`t have Christopher around now? Christopher wouldn`t have blown the hit on Phil! :disgust:

Not an exaggeration, that was the worst series finale I have ever seen. They weren't even trying to leave us with anything.

aww, come on jester, what about sienfeld? Now That was the worst series finally of all time.

Worst. Episode. Ever.
This is what I get for devoting 10 years of my LIFE??? :sowrong:
XOXO

I heard it ended with Tony stiring his coffee at his favorit hang out or something. Sound like a nice way to fade to black.

Awww, Stephie, come here and I'll make it all wetter... I mean better, really I did honest... oh shit here she comes!!! :xpeepsofa

I always enjoyed the Sopranos' sense of gritty realism. The last thing I'd have wanted would be to have the series end in the same sort of fairy-tale, everything's-solved fashion that every other series ends with. Naturally, I've a personal feeling of wanting to know what happened to everyone... but there are a lot of things I want that I can't have. In the end, I think it was the perfect ending... because it's not really "ended." The show gives the feeling of a real-life story that could still be happening, somewhere, to these people, and we're just not hearing about it anymore.

If you lose touch with a good friend of several years, do you want them to simply drop dead on the spot so you don't have to wonder how they're doing every day?

I've got two things to say about it:

First, I'm glad that Phil was killed, he deserved it.

Second, the unresolved ending sucked. Yuck. :xlime:

David Chase should have his balls ripped off.

LOL! Believe me, that was my initial reaction too! The more I think about it though, the more I'm okay with it. I think it likely that the sudden silence/fade to black symbolized a hit on Tony, as Lovesheels mentioned.

It would have been great to have a tidy, tie all loose ends kind of closure the way Six Feet Under ended, but that's simply not David Chase' style. Damn you David Chase!! 😎

LOL, I did love the cat staring at the picture of Christopher in the Bing and Paulie's reaction to it... I was kinda hoping that "3 O'Clock" would have something to do in the end as well! :idunno:

All of you seemed to be waiting for an ending similar to the one in 'Scarface'. Knowing how David Chase works for all this time now, how could you have believed you'd see any other kind of ending than the one you did?

What this was, was a soap opera. For men. I know this doesn't sit well with some people, but that is what this was.
