While I can understand not being comfortable with being stared at, please don't generalize and think that each time a person looks at someone else, finding something attractive about this other person, it's automatically leery/creepy behavior. It also doesn't mean that the watcher thinks women are sex objects (and I truly hope you don't think this is what most men think when they look at women). Getting a quick look and enjoying the experience is, in my opinion, perfectly harmless and normal. Of course, if the watcher does it in an especially obvious and intrusive way, that's another story.

Just because someone can't get a girlfriend doesn't mean unsuspecting women wearing
sandals in the spring deserve to be his wank fodder. Taking a quick peek is different from

Indeed, it is getting to be the season where bare feet are visible in public. I almost forgot it was this time of year, seeing as how I live in Ohio. If you live in the eastern part of the US, you undoubtedly know what I'm talking about. We've endured two polar vortexes, a whole bunch of snow, and now we're about seven days away from spring, and it's still winter cold outside.

Someone else mentioned that flip flops weren't as fashionable now as they used to be. I've noticed that nowadays, many women will wear skinny jeans (like very, very skinny jeans) with either flip flops or flats. I actually like the flats. Sure, they cover up the toes, but you can still see most of the instep, so there's a little bit of an anticipation factor leading up to the "revealing" when the flat comes off. NYC being the largest city in the country.
