I agree completely!!! And he put on a great set of songs, despite the downpour. He really seemed to make an effort to take advantage of the opportunity, and pulled it off in grand style. I guess what I mean to say is, he took it seriously.

They need to have acts who are relevant today. I'm sick of seeing old, washed-up halftime performers.

I think its funny that everyone is saying this, cause I am from an area close to jersey, and the people I saw watching it, especially the older women, were very into it. Springsteen concerts are like these huge events to the people where I live, its crazy. I didn't think it was horrible. He got the crowd going, which is half the battle. His singing wasn't that great, but to be almost 60, running around on stage, playing guitar, exuding energy and looking like you are having fun doing it, is pretty decent to me. I'd much rather watch Springsteen than some of that pop crap that they love to put on.

I do agree that Prince's performance was much better, but I am extremely biased because I am in awe of Prince's musical talent and stage presence. That is a winning combo no matter what.
