So sorry about the late reply, Bohemianne! Tuesday nights are always problematic for me; I see friends that night, and it takes away from the time I should be expressing my gratitude! Thank you for another much appreciated round of encouragement! It means so much to me!
Yet another generous contribution from the legendary Low Roads…! As I have been following, I really marvel how a mind can create varying depth in terms of delivering a kink, and this one, no matter how subjects hide behind a toonish illustration are actually heavily themed and dark, especially some of the tickling scenes. Don’t get me wrong, what I mean can be easily seen. I say they are playful train of thoughts…
Very kind of you! It has been my intention to deliver a world in which a light tone can coexist with dire themes, each to be called upon when needed without compromising the other. I haven't much choice but to draw my characters in a cartoony way (it's the only way I've learned how to draw!), but it's most gratifying that you can take the characters' often desperate concerns seriously regardless! In terms of kinkiness, I suppose I just follow my natural inclination, which is to sow a bit of the macabre into
every situation! Blame an upbringing filled with dark fantasy imagery from Edgar Allen Poe stories and late-night Universal horror films! With no effective countervailing influence (my early life was a secluded, rural one), it's little wonder that the fruits of that early inspiration should be felt so strongly now!
Like I mentioned in the past, the panorama/landscape is great. I really like the aquarium and palette of colors. The shrewd characters are definitely hard to put up, let alone, assemble them in panels. So perhaps we should thank Low Roads for the generosity of showing surprising chapters.
My deepest thanks! I'm so pleased you have a liking for the vibrant color schemes I prefer! Much of that was doubtless prompted by early color TV, whose break from the monotony of gray-shading in the '60s tended toward the intense (nearly toward garishness). I remember vividly how magical the old "Johnny Quest" cartoons seemed to be, with that rainbow of lush textures spilling right into the intimacy of one's own living room! There was something very personal about that… different from motion pictures which, however special, were a remote experience one was obliged to seek out and share with strangers. The magic of the TV screen, we seemed to own, exclusively!
I'm particularly delighted if these chapters can surprise! Thank you so much for saying so! I try my best to deliver unexpected situations, to keep the narrative fresh and reader interest lively. It's a tremendous compliment to me if I've succeeded! I'm greatly obliged!
Nice work as always. Thanks for giving us such great characters and situations.
It's my great pleasure and privilege, Director! Thank you for being so appreciative! It'll always be a heady thrill to share this story with the Community, with people who have come to enjoy it and are generous enough to let me know!
