Okay, I promised Steph (and she is making sure I stick to my promise...lol) that I would post my tattoo's for her to see. Some of the picture qualities are kind of bad, since my digital camera is not the greatest in the world, and because I was trying to take several of these myself, and the angle was ALL wrong. But they will hopefully suffice for now until I can get better ones taken, and put up on my website.

Before I get to them though, let me quickly say that anyone else who wishes to post and display their ink work here, please feel free to do so! I love admiring others skin art!

On to the tats... (I am posting them in the order I got them done):

tat1.jpg

This was my very first tattoo...the one that began my addiction. This is the heart stabbed w/sword, with two blue roses. It is located on my right calf, and is approx. 3 inches long by 4 inches wide.

tat2.jpg

My second tattoo. This one can be seen on my member pic. I customed designed this one. It's a tribal butterfly. It took 14 needles in the gun at once to get this baby done. Surprisingly, though, it did not hurt much. It is located on my right arm, and it approx. 5 inches long by 4 inches wide.

tat3.jpg

Tat #3. This picture is HORRIBLE quality, I know. I was trying to take the picture upside down, and I trembled, and it got all screwed up. This is my winged dragon. It's on my left calf, and is approx. 8 inches long by 3 inches wide. This sucker hurt worse than CHILDBIRTH to have done.

tat4.jpg

#4 - my infamous foot tattoo. This is one of the two tattoo's I got to represent my love for tickling. My tat artist designed this one for me, with my tickling fetish in mind. It was also his idea I get it done on my foot. And those are feathers, not wings, as they appear to be in the picture..lol

tat5.jpg

My 5th, and favorite tattoo. Credit for this design goes to Lite, our fellow TMF member. She saw a similar design in the tattoo parlor she went to to have hers done, and immediately thought of me. She passed the design on to me, I found it online, and got it done. In this pic, it was freshly done...only 2 hours old. That is why it's all shiny. It's all gooped up with A&D. This one is on my left arm, and is approx. 9 inches long by 6 inches wide.

tat6.jpg

My 6th, and currently final, tattoo (I want more though..they are an addiction!). This is the second of my tickling related tattoo's. Again, thanks to a fellow TMF member for this one, who finally found the design for me. This is a Japanese Kanji Symbol for the word 'ticklish' done in a black tribal style. It is located on my upper right chest, between my shoulder and upper breast...right off my collar bone. This one, ironically, tickled horribly to have done. The vibrations from the gun against my collar bone sent me into hysterics.

That's all of em. Again, other inked TMFers, please feel free to join in on this thread and display your art as well! I for one would love to see them (and I know Steph would too!).

WOWSA!!

AWESOME work Mimi--My fave is the tiget too--that is GORGEOUS! How long did it take??

Thanx so much for sharing! Now I'm even MORE excited to get mine--you rock Mama!!

XOXO

The tiger tattoo took about 3-4 hours from start to finish. That includes pre-tat prep, and aftercare bandaging. Not too bad for that size of a piece. You can usually expect about an hour for a standard small piece, like the one on my foot or collar bone. The one on my left calf (the dragon) took the longest, at 5 straight hours. I likely will not be doing that again...lol

I've been thinking about gettin a tattoo, "Ju-jitsu" in japanese, but after I talked about it with some of the other guys at the budo every1 seemed to get one

well--

It's just gorgeous--really amazing--I wish I could sport something like that but ya know, the job thing...<gg>

And 5 straight hours? Holy crap!
You are one hard core chica!

And Sadistic~it's just my two cents, but I pay no mind to what everybody else has--ya gotta make YOURSELF happy, know what I mean jelly bean? <gg>Plus the tattoo's forever, the pals will come and go...Mimi and I have talked tattoos before. Girls always get them on the lower back but that's where I'm getting mine done because I think it looks hot and no one will see it unless I want to show it--I work for in a hospital so I have to go easy on the bod mods...

XOXO

I've got a wizard on my left bicep. I'd post it, but I can't seem to figure out an efficient way to get my bicep planted onto my scanner. Maybe if I could get help, I could hold the scanner onto my arm... or maybe I should get one of those new-fangled dig..i...tal camera thingies. That'd probably be easier.

i have one, and want more!

i have an american bald eagle head on my left lower arm, a few inches above the wrist. it was done in 1981, so the color is fadded, but i love it.
i want to get the elvish 9(ala lord of the rings cast) done on my left upper outer arm, but i'm worried about disease.

steve

Shoot, I wouldn't be too worried about disease, nowadays. Most tattoo shops are clean establishments that are scrutinized heavily on their practices and methods.

True that!

FF is right Steve~
Mimi has WAAAAY more knowledge on the tattoo scene (I'm just the body piercing expert) but you really have nothing to worry about in general w/regards to health issues--the bod mod laws have become VERY strict in the last few years (like in piercing, the piercer always scrubs up forever in front of you, cleans you methodically, wears a fresh, sterile pair of latex gloves, many will actually SHOW you the needle in the hermetically sealed pkg before they open it in front of you so you know you're in a 100% sterile environment.) My own piercer is almost OCD in his anti-germ routine. He makes me nuts sometimes, except when I had the hood done, that was pretty cool <gg>

Ask friends whose tats you admire to recommend their piercer to you, check the APP website, call or visit the shop and ask the owner/piercers all the questions you want (like how long they've been in "the industry", how long the shop has been in business, etc.)

GET OUT if they act weird or seem like they don't want to answer your questions--a legitimate piercer will take all the time w/you that ya need to make you feel safe and comfortable. Hell, you can even check w/BBB to see if any complaints have been filed against the owner--health dept shuts them down IMMEDIATELY if codes are violated...Hope this helps...

Reminds me of the guy who did my tattoo. Aside from his pushiness, he was a great artist. He freaked me out, though. I've seen pictures in his shop of him giving a woman a tattoo while he was blindfolded, and it came out AWESOME. He was also talking to me about my job. I was coaching marksmanship at the time, so he pulled out a quarter with a bullet hole in it, and he was like, "Really? I was shooting pistol with the Sergeant Major, and I did this while I was on LSD."

thought I'd better bring this back up...

to FEED on my hunger for more (LOL)

Come on ya BIG PANSIES! Don't tell me only Mimi's brave enough to post her beautiful work--Let's see some SKIN people!!!

XOXO
