I'm just curious but has anybody else read this comic or watched the show? I've never seen the comic before but the show has recently come over to Canada, and i've fallen in love with it. It's just a great show, impressive art, and even though i'm not black, i find it funny as hell.

Anybody else have any thoughts?

dont know about boondocks but the second part of your thread is very nice thanks

Now that everyone's talking about it, I wanna see it! Being a Chappelle fan, I looove shows like that!

Originally I found it highly offensive.

Now, I find it's ludicrously stereotypical pokings-fun-at to be HILARIOUS.

I like the comic, never seen the show. Some of the topics I disagree with alot, but it is intelligent to a degree. Some parts really happen, sadly.

Boondocks is one of the best shows on tv today. It's edgy, in your face, and forces you to acknowledge things the pc clowns don't want you to talk about. I just worry that the pc watchdogs and the soft-heart crybabies will get it taken off the air.

Oh, and Viper......your welcome. 😉

I've read the comic, but never watched the show YET

When Boondocks went into syndication, it was a refreshing smack in the head that even took me by surprise. It seemed that the creator was a little racist, but the comic was good, and as I read it the following few days, I realized that he was making a point, and simply like every other politically-edged comic out there, the guy had something to say. And the guy wasn't lying. It's his perspective, and that of so many others. It was as refreshing to me as the movie 'CRASH' was. I'm sure the show is as good. Now, which station carries the show, pray tell.

I find it mildly amuzing.
There are a lot of things Id rather watch/read and only catch it if there is nothing else better on to watch.
Its ratings on Adult Swim are so-so which is why its time slot got moved. Im not sure the PC police are going to try to get the show pulled, the so-so rating will get it off the air sooner than the PC-watchninnies.

Family Guy is still 1000 times better.
South Park is still 100 times better.
The Simpsons are about 50 times better.

But it has its moments.
But then again so does a bowel movement! :blaugh:

its a pretty interesting show. Sometimes I dont know what to make of it. Its a very p.c. cartoon.

Boondocks is on the Cartoon Network at 12:30am EST on Sundays (basically in about a half hour).

Id watch....but Ive got to wash some socks and make a lite brite portait of the Quaker Oats dude.

I've always thought the comic was excellent - in the same league as Doonesbury and Bloom County when it comes to social commentary. I've not watched the TV show.

i watched one episode of it when i babysat a friend's dogs a few months back. he Tivo'd it, so i figured...if he likes it, maybe it's cool. i found out that one episode was enough. offensive humor is one thing...but that show took it to a new level in my opinion...probably never watch it again unless i happen to catch an epi that looks interesting.
