I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered a disabled tickler or ticklee? My only expereince has been talking to a couple of people online. But I really dont imagine it would really make much diffrence having a disabled ticklee for instance as long as common sense is used. As one would have to keep in mind ones physical limitations. Any comments?

I haven't really tried to hide the fact here that I have cerebral palsy, though I don't write about it often. I've met one TMF member for some tickling-- maybe she will contribute to this thread-- and I'd love to meet other ladies. Since I can't walk, you lady lers out there, my soles might be even more ticklish than they would be otherwise. Think about it. :couch:

As I have mentioned in other contexts;

I am a wheelchair bound 'ler, due to injuries to my left hip.
Hasn't slowed me down at all.

:ermm:Hmmmmmmmmm.:ermm:
Common sense is a great idea, and I always like to have my physical limitations kept in mind. No matter how hard I try, I can never feel comfortable with my ankles behind my head. But I digress.
Are you referring to physical disabilities alone? Or are you including mental disabilities and impairments?
I've had run-ins with one or two crazies on this forum that had "undiagnosed" personality disorders. THEY are the ones I worry about.

Ahh Helena you are one most special and i really mean physical and mental would mean another thread. Im no doctor and Id guess we would have to take that issue on a case by case basis. Stay as sweet as you are.

Id like to hear from those ladies too!! thanks for your response man!!

This is an interesting topic. I can comment from the prospective of someone who has been totally blind since birth. My lack of vision definitely hasn’t hindered my enjoyment of tickling on either the giving or receiving end. As a lee, which is my preference, the element of surprise provided by being unable to see the ler can really enhance the moment. As a ler, I’ve never had a problem reducing my lee’s to shrieking, begging hysterics. Of course it’s the glorious payback that really motivates me in those instances.

May I ask an ignorant question? How did you read all this and simply find this site im impressed and intrested?

Not an ignorant question at all. I use a program that converts the contents of the screen into synthesized speech. It also provides keyboard shortcuts for tasks commonly accomplished with a mouse.

As far as finding this site, I came across it a few years ago through a Google search.

Feel free to ask any other questions you might have. Also, let me know if I've provided an adequate explanation.

Thanks so much and I was not asking only for me but for others here who would not be aware of technology like that. Its most facinating.

wow.. that is sooo cool. I love to learn of new technologies that are helping the disabled. I thinks it's awesome!

As far as tickling, um... I'v never tickled an adult who was disabled or impaired in any way. I did tickle kids I used to work with in the hospital on the rehab floor. One little girl apparently LOVED it when I played w/ her toes once in a remake of this little piggy. She had been burned badly on her legs and was quite discourage. Her feet still had a few cosmetic surgeries to go but it made her feel soo much better that she met someone who was not afraid to touch the skin that was damaged. She was about 12 and would tell me how she loved to paint her toes and everything and how that all changed in a house fire. I was the first one to actually touch her feet and gently tickle them and made her giggle, and comment on how she could use some polish "here...*with a tickle to a random spot* " and "here...*another tickle*"

As for adults, I think I would use discretion. I would feel bad about tickling someone who's wheelchair bound to be honest. Because they cant really...get away....unless the upperbody strength is really good and they could roll me over or something. :rotate: I dunno. I think it would depend on the situation. But if they would want me to, and have no fungus or anything growing on their feet ( I draw the line on fungi. I dont care what's going on with the person, I'm not touching fungified feet:xlime:) then I would tickle the feet.

I'd go for the upperbody as well but again, it would depend on the person and their abilities/disabilities.

I'm not going to out him, he's busy with school (not on here much) and may or may not see find this thread but there is at least one other member here who's totally blind. And, really a sweetie. Doesn't hurt that his seeing eye dog is a beauty too!:redheart:
XOXO

I thought you'd be in this thread before now, kiddo.

<----physically disabled...it's hard for me to say whether it'd be different or not, i haven't had much experience with a Ler (i'm a lee btw). I know that i have spots that on a normal ticklish person would get a reaction...that on me won't get any reaction, unfortunately. For me personally, i'd be worried about the Ler being disappointed in my reactions (or non-reactions).

anyways, i like this thread 😀

Hi everyone,

I have met and tickled 50greg and believe me, his feet are VERY ticklish!!!

I don't know that being disabled or not really matters all that much when it comes to tickling.

Thanks for the testimonial. 🙂 You're welcome to have another go at my feet whenever we can get together again.

My girlfriend is disabled (has fibromyaglia, a chronic pain disorder which limits strength and flexibility of joints and muscles due to pain).
This means she can't tickle me as often as we both would love, and I can't tie her up and tickle her at all.
We get by, I get my fun often enough.

well, i had an ex who had a stroke at the age of nine.......problems walking, one arm was bad..........she wasn't sensative in certain areas.....the arm that was bad would recieve sensation really strongly......otherwise she was pretty ticklish

Really? I'm wheelchair bound, and have had a couple of sessions with a woman I met here, and I thought that was one of the best parts!

Soo Wing out!

I've been in a wheelchair since 2000 due to a spinal chord injury. I can honestly say that my feet have actually gotten MORE ticklish since then. They are so sensitive that even the lighest touch on the soles will cause them to jerk and jump. I've never had an actual tickling encounter because no one I know is into tickling, but if I ever met someone, I'd have no problem at all with being a 'lee or a 'ler.

Hello Softstroke

I:upsidedow HAVE CEREBRAL PALSY AND I ALSO LOVE THE SOLES OF MY FEET BEING TICKLED. ANYTIME YOU COME TO AUSTRALIA I'LL ONLY BE TOO PLEASED TO TICKLE YOUR FEET.
