I think some believe hot liquids cause you to perspire more and thus cool you off. Not sure I believe it either but I think that's the thinking. 😛I have an enigma. My uncle always said hot soup will cool you off...why don't I believe it?
I believe that hot soup warms you up as you drink it. Later, when it makes you sweat, you cool off. I like thick thick soups.... more like a stew or a chili.I also never eat soup. I don't care for it. I joke that food should be eaten not drank.

Spicy food, on the other hand, makes you sweat without heating you up. So, spicy food cools you off.
I eat lots of spicy food. Probably more then I should. LolMy stomach can't take spicy foods much.

Me too. They are very healthy for you. Just made myself a 3 bean salad. Very yummy and healthy.I love salad.
Oh yea. All good things. Makes for a lot of different combinations.I love putting stuff in it like grilled chicken, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.
I do as well. Mainly cause both of those veggies are healthy and low in carbsI don't go out of my way to eat salad but I do snack on cucumbers and carrots at home.
