A lot of things are different. Thankfully Thanksgiving seems like it's still the same.

Yea thank goodness for that.

Ironic how the most "lit up" houses are is during the darkest time of year...not sure how it worked out that way but imagine June being the month for Christmas. Wouldn't fit.

It is nice to see so much light after sunset on the shortest days of the year, the days surrounding December 21st.

It feels like no matter what craziness has happened in the last 11 months the world is ok when I see Christmas lights in December. More than Christmas I feel like they stand for peace and positivity.

Exactly. Christmas means there is hope for us as a species.

I realized yesterday I got used to the cold weather we've had for a couple of weeks now as long as there isn't any wind.

Yea wind and cold can cause hypothermia right away.

Positivity is why "Merry Christmas" is often followed by "... and a Happy New Year."

Yea i had an uncle past away on Christmas morning. Sad that year. Christmas was his favorite holiday too. I just thought GOD took him to Heavens Christmas party.

My Grandfather had to be taken to the emergency room one Thanksgiving too!
