The most popular member of Tickling Media Forum

Y'all worry about your popularity WAY too much.

As for me...I know alot of people like me, and more people hate me. Do I honestly care? Not much. To each their own. If you like me, cool, send me a PM. If you hate me, come fight me. Heh. :whip:

I think the most popular person in this forum is Mimi. She get's my vote, at any rate. 🙂 Love ya, Meems! :bunny:

I really don't think it should really matter who's popular on TMF because it doesn't really matter. As someone else said, it should't have to be a popularity contest. I agree with Viper.

Ok, my little joke aside, I'd be remiss if I didn't comment on this concept of "popularity". I think the original poster here was actually asking a question that hasn't really been answered.

Popularity is not as important as community within our ever-growing ranks. Even saying something like "This person is the most popular" is quite arbitrary, as there a cliques within the community, just as in any social group. This person may be popular among his/her group of friends, this one may be popluar among the artists, that one may be popular in a particlar sub-forum or topic.

Some folks post a lot, and become popular by sheer force of name recognition. Some post less, but command respect with thier insight. We all have our different place within our humble group, and finding yours is far more important than post counts or perceived popularity.

The whole purpose of our community is to have a place to go and people to talk to about our fetish. We are a very small (but ever-growing) section of the larger whole and could really use each other to lean on and share with. There's really no need to subdivide things further with something as fleeting and intangible as popularity, in my humble opinion.

I couldnt agree more :happyfloa

at the beginning of this thread i said that myself. that it seems high schoolish to decide who is and who isnt popular. i'm with dave i couldnt agree more. i like everyone here and i think there should be a place people can go and not have to worry about being liked or popular or the like. this is a forum to have fun and learn and share. so i vote for everyone on the forum. and dang this is my third vote on this thread. lol

Very very well said Dave. I may not be as popular as others here but I do feel like I make a contribution. I have people look to me for advice or help and, in that aspect, I feel that I am part of the community and make a difference. To me, that is MUCH more important than being popular.

Bah!

Obviously, the above opinions are those of unpopular people attempting to console themselves and their unfabulously glamorous station in life.
Being wonderfully amazing to all, such thoughts never cross my mind.

Yes but we need to know who the snooty cheerleader-types are so we know who needs a good tickling the most. 😀

Hee hee!

Yanno what? I'm always a little embarassed to share this but I was a cheerleader in high school and college but I never hung with the "in crowd." (Read: anything but snooty.) In fact, I was pretty much a silly nerd and didn't hang with any particular crowd at all. I had friends who were stoners, jocks, greasers, the drama crowd, you name it. I never cared whether I was "popular" or not which is REALLY ironic because I attended 4 high schools~at 3, I was voted most popular (which of course some of the "in crowd" despised me for...Didn't matter, they'd have to fight my protectors and wouldn't have lasted 2 minutes.... 😎 ) I focused on getting good grades and making people laugh, is it obnoxious to say I'm really proud of that??? :idunno:
XOXO

I know this isn't tickling discussion but....Steph when you were a cheerleader, did you use to wear those cute little white keds tennis shoes? 😀

I just thought of something and I know this sound unrealistic to say this but here me out! If you post 10,000 threads, would that make you a legendary member just like the immortal Hulk Hogan from WWE? :jester:

Yep Captian~either Keds or saddle shoes (lame) We had two uniforms....
XOXO

steph i was a majorette in highschool but i was soo shy that although well liked i was never reall popular because i always thought i was tooo skinny. i should have known you were a cheerleader, so bubbly and cute you are.

Ack!

Double-whammy of wondrousness! Too...much...goodness...at...once(whimper).

I'm having wicked-bad fantasies of the ticklish Cheerleader and the Majorette tied together in such a way that the one's delight is the other's agony, and visa-versa, in a tickle-torment of epic proportions!

Dr. Bill Kobb, I am not quite sure what you mean by your comment on those unpopular people with unglamourous lives trying to console themselves but it didn't sound very nice. The level of someone's popularity shouldn't be the center of someone's world. It's MUCH MORE important how you contribute to the threads, posts you write and how you treat people. I believe everyone has something important to contribute to this forum. We should all be here for each other. I just want to add that since I joined this forum in April of this year, I have received A LOT of private messages from people and get new ones it seems like every other day so that makes me feel pretty popluar in that way.

That's just my opinion.
