Y'all are very Nextel Cup-centric. There most certainly IS a race this weekend- the Busch series is running in Michigan. And if there's no Cup or Busch race, there's almost always an Arca race. Come on, boys, are you race fans or what?

well i am a race fan of course..and the busch race is going on now...

Who would have thunk that ole Ms. Edwards little boy, Carl, would win another Busch race. Have no idea who won the ARCA race. The most important race I remember was when I raced to get a Camcorder battery to film a friends wedding Saturday, get back charge it up and be on time. (made it btw). Didn't get near a TVe until about 3:30 AM on Sunday morning.

Have a great day and Isabeau watched the Busch race for us with you. Thanks Isabeau.

i want to wish benny parsons well in his cancer fight.

ah that's a shame..i'm not sure i know who that is..but get well soon anyway.

night race this weekend i think..i love night races..you can see the sparks flying.. :couch:

I cannot wait for this Sunday for two reasons...

1. The Brickyard is one of my favorite races.

2. I'm beginning to have a morbid fascination with seeing how Tony Stewart makes a jackass out of himself week by week.

Then there's always the hope for a 24 & 48 wall banging, but that goes without saying.

Boogity Boogity Boogity at the Brickyard today! Let's go racing, boys!!

That is so strange Kered..that you should post those words, because i was thinking about the difference between Fox's coverage and NBC's..and i much prefer Fox's and miss Darrell saying those words at the start of the green flag...and my mistake, i thought the race occurred last night..

and Slacker lololol..i agree..

No Izzy, the Cup race starts about 2:45......unless they changed it again.

*Glad to see you made it through another day without getting hurt*

thanks for the info..

and in the words of jack palance in City Slickers....day ain't over yet..hehe

One of the better races each year. Let's hope today is no exception. Seems like it would be a hard place to watch the race live, but they sure fill the stands. I love it when Kered talks racey that way.

NBC also seems to have more commercial coverage than race coverage. I'll be at the Knox BBQ but I'll be tivoing the race. Like slacker, I'm interested in what Tony will do this week, but more in a fearful way, like watching a train wreck.

And of course, the hope that the 24 and 48 lock bumpers and hit the wall together. Best image slacker ever came up with.

I'm sure you'd look great in Daisy Dukes, kered. Have at it.

I agree. NBC is more commercial oriented, plus, their commentators are much more serious and boring.

And the best image I ever came up with was tormenting you while watching 24 and 48 lock bumpers and hitting the wall.

On a side note, at this point, Crybaby Gordon is already a lap down. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

whooohoo jimmy johnson wins the brickyard five hundred..and a crash in the final lap...casey kahne wwent hard into the wall but is ok...

Johnson's wife is a real cutie! She seems to like kissing the bricks.....ahem..

I have to give the 48 bunch a lot of credit. They are just a really good team. A pretty good race to watch all in all. I'm pretty sure Elliott Sadler will be very glad to get past this year and on to a new team.

now THAT gets me hot! :xpulcy:

Matt Kenseth wins in Michigan..followed by Gordon, Stewart, Kahne, dont know who is fourth but Martin is fifth...

I actually got a chuckle when they were interviewing Gordon and he said he "wanted to prove he could pass Matt cleanly".

Yeah (she says reluctantly). There was humor there.

He's still a weenie and no matter what he says, that nasal whiny voice makes my ears bleed.

i don't have a problem with drivers going at it face to face and man to man but when you use your car like carla edwards (no i didn't miss spell it) seems to like to do. your nothing more than a pussy i think he should be taken out back of the garage and taught some manners. the old school way!
