The Pet Thread

My 2 friends at work are from Haiti and they said where they came from dogs are just dogs...they are amazed at how we treat dogs better than people and I told them well you go home and record how your wife reacts when you get home and I'll record how my dog reacts when I get home and let's see which is more excited to see us. They both agreed it makes sense because their wives will be like "eh you're home".

You're right about that. A dog is always happy when its owner comes home, and dogs show it, too.

Keep us updated on your pet search Kurch 🙂.

Can find out about any animal or anything you want online...sometimes too much info.

Guinea pigs are too much hassle. You need more then one and a big cage for them.

Some people have multiple dogs and sometimes even 4, 5, or more. I don't know how. I can barely take care of 1.
My cousin does. She has like 3 or 4 dogs. She warned me that medical bills will run into thousands for each one when they get sick. Just crazy,

I spent tens of thousands on Rollins (he got very sick at a young age) but it was worth every penny to me. He overcame the odds and was the "healthiest sick dog" as my uncle always called him.

That was real devotion to and care for Rollins. 😀

That was awesome you did all that for him.

I wonder what percentage of pet owners who can afford it would spend $10,000 to keep their dog or cat alive.

The was a vet who had a show on The Learning Channel named Dr Jeff. He tried to over pet care at much better prices. So if an operation would cost 5000 he would do it for 500. An awesome guy.

I think it depends on the person and the situation...Rollins was 5 when he got cancer. He was so young...but honestly even if he was in the double digits age I probably would have done whatever I could to help him. If it was actually helping and not just keeping him alive while he's suffering. That's no life.

That's the key. If the veterinarian can actually heal your pet and you can afford it, then you should spend the money.

I think it kind of depends on how the bills are coming in too... if you get hot with a whopping 7000 all at once it can be hard to do if the bills are coming in a bit at s time it can be a little easier.
