Lulu is a wonderful self-publishing service.

You just upload a manuscript in .doc format with an appropriate page size and their software turns it into a book. The really good thing is that there is no cost and no minimum number of copies that the author must order. Order none at all if you wish, they will still print and sell them if anybody goes to Lulu and orders one. People can order your book as a real hard copy book or as an electronic download.

You set the price (after they figure the cost of production for you). 😀 😛

Wow that sounds really cool mils. I think I will look into it. So how does Lulu makes its money? Do they take a part of anything you sell? 😀 😀 😛

They take one-fifth of "price minus the cost of production". So if your book costs $7 to produce and you price it at $12, you get $4 royalties for each one sold and they get $1 profit. 😀 😛

You can certainly publish comics there. The cost of production is much higher for color pages than for black-and-white, though. 😀 😛

Well thats certainly understandable. Generally though comics are shorter in length then most novels. So though the cost per page is higher there would be fewer pages I think. Still I think this lulu place is a great find. 😀 😀 😛

I have software for turning anything into an electronic book that will run on any windows PC but this is a pretty good option as well I think.

The whole idea is that they handle shipping and collect the money for you as well as printing the book. 😀 😛

You can put any photos you like on the covers.

Very nice. I will check them out. I have had trouble finding a similar place for art. Most take too much money or you lose the rights to your art which I dont like. 😀 😀 😛
