During W.W.2 there was an artist named Bill Mauldin He had series called Willie and Joe They were your typical infantry men He had one cartoon in which those two were in a Jeep

There were reading a sign saying that they were about to enter 3rd Army territory(Patton's command) The sign had all the fines for stuff like dirty uniforms,no ties,no helmets,etc

One says to the other,"radio the old man we will be late on account of a thousand mile detour" 😀 😛

10-4 on that Earlier today I was thinking about some more model projects I wanna do One of them I won't start until near the end of the year

On two of the scale model sites I belong,I am involved in some group builds That is where a certain theme is called for For example

Baby Boomer build-Military stuff used from 1946 up until 1986

Armored car/half track build

N.Africa/Med. build Stuff used during the N.African,Sicily,and Italy campaigns during W.W.2

I said I'd do something for them,so I shall When they are done,then it's build what I want to time 😀 😛

I'd like to build another Sherman tank that had an M26 Pershing 90mm cannon turret There was one test vehicle made during W.W.2 None were produced I made one using the M4A3E8 Sherman chassis and hull The A3 was a 500 HP gas engine The E8 part meant a wide suspension unit That part was real

The other one I wanna do is an M4A2E8 The A2 was a diesel engine If some one makes a conversion hull for the A2 in 1/48 scale,I'll build it in that scale If not,I will build it in 1/35 scale

I really think the Sherman should have had a better main gun than the 75mm or 76mm versions 😀 😛

Thanks my friend It's great to have a hobby,or some kind of interest to pass the time away Especially if I am at some dock for awhile waiting to get loaded or unloaded 😀 😛
