Well for the most part it varies quite a bit and I know some tricks to make 2D quite wondorous. Usually though:

3d generally takes longer but produces more eyepopping results

2d is faster but tends not to be as dazzling.

Watching that show now I was able to tune in a channel called METV I guess it's like a Nick At Nite thing This channel shows classic TV shows 😀 😛

This episode I am watching skimped a wee bit on the special effects They used the flying police scene from the movie,Farenheit 451 😀 😛

Yes many TV series skimped on the FX for cost reasons. If the scripts were not good it really hurt the show. LOL
