I guess when the newness of a product goes away,prices come down I wish CD prices would They are supposed to be cheaper to make than the old cassette tapes 😀 😛

Yes it very cheap to make CDs. 😀 The economy is also driving down prices. Businesses are selling things cheaper because they need to sell them. A 2000 dollar laptop that never sells is not as good as a 1000 dollar laptop that is flying off the shelves. 😀

desktop are cheep here now and you get a lot .. I have a lap top 320 gig mem 4 gig mem ram 2 gig amd turion and it cost 800

Quite true. Ironically I have a few older systems in need of repair but if I have someone repair it it will likely cost me 300 or more. It might be cheaper to just buy a new one.

Never did understand why it's usually cheaper to buy something new,vs getting something repaired 😀 😛
 
I have one old one it needs 2 things a cdrw internal and a new eithernet it blew when lightning struck

Computer printers are the biggest culprits of that. Buying a new black inket cartridge and new color cartridge cost more then buying a new system with the cartridges included. LOL

Yea lighting can be a problem even with a surge protector sometimes. 🙁

One of mine needs a new video card. The other I think a new hard drive an a upgrade to Wndows XP the old OS is the dreaded Windows ME.

Vista sucks. I know I have a system with it. I use it mainly to test my product packages on to make sure they work. In my opinion Vista was an excersize to make everyone have to upgrade all their hardware and external devices. Many companies did not develop drivers for their older scanners and printers that were Vista compatable. Thus many people had to buy new scanners and such even though their old ones still worked. Also Vista requirments forced people to buy much more memory, bigger hard drives, and better video cards just to run the darn thing. 🙁
