I can feel you there. I grew up in a very rural area. All we could get was dial up. My dad finally got an unlimited 3g network plan with Ntelos.

Dial up was tolerable for awhile but now just too much stuff that requires big files. I really have to upgrade soon. Its nice you have unlimited 3g now. 🙂
