I guess back in World War Two,people always needed a happy story. I know the comic book companies could not have the heroes win the entire war by themselves as well.

It was a different era. I dont think you could have the plot twists and turns like you do today. 🙂

Yea the movie was toned down from the comic. LOL Sort of like the HBO animated version of Spawn. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more intense and violent then the movie that was made.

Its a sort of Anti Hero type theme. A person who kills fir the CIA dies and goes to hell. He comes back as a Hell Spawn. A demon bound to do satan's bidding. But he refuses to be Satan's pawn and rebels against him and the forces of Hell. 🙂
