At a fancy restaurant with French food on the menu, even with a modest bottle of wine, dinner would be about $100 per person. Tourists here spend a lot of money. I can at at home, of course. 😀 😛

In L.A., at least you do have reasonably priced excellent Mexican restaurants. We don't have that here. Only Indian restaurants here are both low priced and may have great food.

Two hot dogs with a medium fries and a medium soda at Nathan's Famous hot dog stand is about $10.
No extra charge for sauerkraut.

A three piece fried chicken meal (with soda and one side dish) is about the same at KFC.

A few bucks more than normal. But then getting food and products into the five boroughs and Long Island is not cheap. 😀 😛

I am not that big a fan of mexican or indian food. I prefer Italian or Asian.
